  • FIFA 22 feels like real football, and it’s all the better for it. Impressive improvements to player positioning, ball physics, and animations make for a supremely satisfying simulation that underpins each of the franchise’s flagship modes.

  • FIFA 22 is mostly focused on its online modes and mainly banks on Ultimate Team, the biggest cash cow for its creators. After the epic introduction to the game, we were disappointed the ‘story’ didn’t further build upon this legendary introduction.

  • FIFA 22 is an undeniably fantastic football game, once you get on the pitch. HyperMotion Technology, and a push for enhanced visuals, physics, and more, make this an incredibly tactical experience and closer to the real thing than ever before. The inevitable problem is when you look at the insidious inclusions off the pitch, such as FUT, which - while somewhat more generous with the in-game currency - is still incredibly predatory and push on the in-game gambling mechanics.

  • Despite its noticeable faults, FIFA 22 is still a decent installment in the series. It offers players fun gameplay and an excellent visual experience to football lovers.

  • Ignore the hoopla and flaws and you can weave a vibrant story of success, survival or failure, because that's what football really is. There is nothing like chipping one in at the near post and wheeling away to the fans behind the goal, like that amazing 7-a-side game you had once, but over and over, brightening decades of real-world humiliation with a trophy, that you, by yourself, have earned, in front of millions.

  • The game itself is largely the same as last year, It's the next-gen graphics and gameplay that really make the game stand out. On next-gen, it's a must for longtime FIFA players.

  • I expect FIFA 22 to become a lot more polished, as the same thing pretty much happened in the case of the previous titles in the franchise anyway. Fingers crossed, however, for FIFA 22 to end up putting the focus on skills rather than on how well you manage to exploit a bug.

  • FIFA 22 adds some big improvements to the way the game functions, and better yet, makes the game feel even better as you play. Add to that some big changes to modes like Career Mode, and FIFA 22 is a huge improvement from past entries.

  • FIFA 22 proves that EA’s soccer simulator is still the most playable of the genre in the market, but it also demonstrates that they know it. Yet again, the blatant disregard for industry-wide skepticism over microtransactions reigns this year in FIFA.

  • FIFA 22 marks the third time EA has given us FIFA 19 with a different shirt on. It may clearly state Legacy Edition on the title, but being kicked in the groin isn't any less painful if your assailant tells you they're going to do it in advance. Once again, EA has insulted Switch owners by giving them the version it usually releases on dead systems. Do not accept it.
