- As you can tell from the review so far, F1 2016 is a great game if you only want to do Time Trials but a pretty frustrating one if you like racing against the AI.
Tasos Lazarides · Nov 17, 2016 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - F1 2016 is an exceptional game. While there are a few minuscule issues with A.I, these happened so sparingly that they had little to no effect on how much I was enjoying the game. The career mode is the shining star of the whole package; it’s so good it’s hard to think what they could add to it for the next game. It’s taking a few years, but Codemasters have finally got it very nearly perfect.
Jonny Lee · Sep 20, 2016 Reviewed on PCRead full review - The technical problems from last year's edition are gone, replaced by a game that purrs its way around the track like a well-oiled machine. F1 2016 is a terrific racing game that’s fun to play regardless of whether you enjoy tackling a full career mode or prefer a quick five-lap race around your favorite circuit.
Danny O'Dwyer · Sep 07, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - There are far fewer AI wobbles in this edition. I occasionally found some strategy suggestions nonsensical, and I saw 18 cars pile into one another because of one small mistake from Williams’ Felipe Massa at a race in Monte Carlo, but these were infrequent enough that I laughed at them, rather than felt they ruined my race.
Sam White · Sep 07, 2016 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Although F1 2016 won’t be for everyone, it is a testament to Codemasters’ love of the genre and their commitment to their fans. Taking lessons learned from previous games and applying their expertise, Codemasters has created an almost perfect simulation of the greatest racing competition on earth.
John Whitehouse · Sep 02, 2016 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - From last year’s stripped down version of the 2015 F1 game which was the first iteration of the series on the PS4 and Xbox One (a la shades of last year’s furor over the initial bare bones release of the NHL 2015) this year’s release is a definite step in the right direction and hopefully a sign of things to come.
Lou Sytsma · Aug 27, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - A championship season and time trial mode are both accessible and each will push you to your talent limits. Overall, the mix in gameplay and modes are both satisfying and rewarding. Above all, the pure physics system and exact handling of cars are what fans should enjoy the most. Even for those who aren’t quite familiar of the sport or don’t play racing simulators, F1 2016 has a little bit of everything for everyone.
Devin Charles · Aug 22, 2016 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Games based on F1 actually date back longer than most game series, but they definitely have featured a lot of change over the years as many different developers have been involved. Last year’s entry continued the downward slide of the series in recent outings, largely due to a lack of features, but thankfully F1 2016 manages to revitalize the series with the return of Career mode in one of its best entries to date.
Dean James · Aug 21, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - F1 2016 has gained a lot of the ground the series has lost over the years, and hopefully Codemasters keeps building upon this excellent foundation. Having the official F1 license is a big responsibility that this title finally lives up to.
Matthew Kato · Aug 19, 2016 Reviewed on PS4 - F1 2016 is quite possibly one of the best racing sims to ever hit consoles, and the depth of this title is unparalleled. If you include the immersion factor, depth of the title and in-game tutorials to help you understand the sport, this is about as good as it gets. There may be other racing titles in the past that exceed what F1 offers in regards to certain aspects, but as a whole, I would stack up F1 2016 against anything.
