- Ender Lilies is an emotional sidescroller RPG with a well-told compelling story, beautiful music & art, and solid gameplay. Its hauntingly beautiful style and satisfying world more than makes up for some slight combat blemishes, leaving a lasting impression as one of the most remarkable games of its kind.
Adam Vitale · Oct 03, 2021 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Ender Lilies is a competently made Metroidvania type game – with gorgeous artwork, a sometimes hauntingly beautiful but subdued score and offering some challenging gameplay that rewards planning and being persistent.
Ankit Gaba · Sep 20, 2021 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Ender Lilies is a fantastic game, with some really cool ideas and twists to the metroidvania genre. It never felt like it was leaning on and borrowing from another title heavily, and I appreciated that a lot. It took me about ten hours to get to the ending, however, and I was not close to liberating all areas.
Jordan Hawes · Aug 13, 2021 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - It’s got the graphics, the music, the charismatic protagonist, upgrades to obtain, abilities to unlock, and varied environments that keep exploration compelling. Though Ender Lilies doesn’t necessarily surpass the icons of the genre that came before it, the game’s developers took a tried and true formula and replicated it well.
Pam K Ferdinand · Aug 01, 2021 Reviewed on PS5, PS4Read full review - ENDER LILLIES manages to mitigate my issues with the Metroidvania subgenre while surpassing any expectations I had thanks to its story, art, and gameplay. My time with it was so overwhelmingly positive that I found myself struggling to pinpoint things I didn’t like. To those (like myself) who found themselves enamored with Valkyrie Profile’s theater-of-tragedy style of storytelling, I highly recommend giving Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights a look.
Des Miller · Jul 31, 2021 Reviewed on PCRead full review - The visual style and amazing soundtrack complement each other well, creating a sense of tranquility in a desolate and horrific world. The challenge hits that sweet spot where the difficulty is high but victory is never out of reach, learning the enemy behaviors and getting an understanding of the collected abilities will allows players who persist to see the story to its end.
Chris Shive · Jul 19, 2021 Reviewed on PCRead full review - ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knight achieves every goal it sets out to do. The game offers an extremely entertaining and atmospheric experience through its gorgeous 2D art, evocative soundtrack, and fun fighting mechanics. We wholeheartedly recommend playing this title if you are a fan of the Metroidvania genre or want to try something new and unique.
ChiChi · Jul 19, 2021 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Levels do a great job of leading the player where to go next, and the map is not a detailed nuisance but only shows exits available in each room. It is with these thoughts that have me recommend this game to first-time Metroidvania players or anyone looking for a platformer fix. With a solid combat system, pretty visuals, and good level design makes ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights a game I can suggest to just about anyone.
Genghis Husameddin · Jul 16, 2021 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Ender Lilies is easily one of my most pleasant surprises this year. The game has fantastic visuals, challenging and satisfying gameplay, and an amazing soundtrack.
Abdul Saad · Jul 16, 2021 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - It’s easy to compare this game to other Metroidvania’s like Hollow Knight, Bloodstained or Blasphemous, though while it doesn’t quite reach the same lofty heights as those games, yet Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is a fantastic experience from start to finish that can be enjoyed by more than just fans of the genre. It can be challenging at times but a few quality of life features make it more approachable than some of its genre brethren.
