- Dungeons of Dreadrock is a great puzzle adventure game with solid gameplay mechanics, well-balanced difficulty levels, an exciting narrative, and a beautiful art style.
Ivo · Aug 06, 2022 Reviewed onRead full review - Clearly a lot of effort has gone into Dungeons of Dreadrock. There are some little details that are fun to notice, such as the bloody footprints you leave behind you if you walk through a defeated enemy. Everything about it is well put together. The story is coherent and interesting, the puzzles are fun, and the 100 levels get you a decent amount of gameplay for your money.
Kirstie Summers · May 29, 2022 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - So: if you like the idea of a puzzle game set against a backdrop of an old-school RPG, you’re going to love Dungeons of Dreadrock. Its aesthetic is excellent, and its puzzles are wonderfully designed, offering a meaty challenge for anyone willing to take it up. For such a budget price, you really can’t go wrong.
Kim Snaith · May 17, 2022 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - A creative and clever experience from start to finish, Dungeons of Dreadrock simply should not be missed. It’s a brilliant little puzzler and an endearing homage to both dungeon crawlers and action-puzzlers. Just be prepared to die, and remember, there’s no shame in getting a hint or two (or five).
Scott MacDonald · May 15, 2022 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Dungeons of Dreadrock makes an admirable leap to Nintendo’s hybrid device. During shorter play sessions, the game shines and offers a challenging but fair puzzle-centered experience. The story is familiar yet enjoyable, and the basic controls translate well enough to the console space. It might not Dreadrock your world, but these Dungeons offer a pretty satisfying romp all the same.
Jordan Rudek · May 12, 2022 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Dungeons of Dreadrock is a quick game clocking in, for us, at about three-and-a-half to four hours. During this time we enjoyed the puzzles, story, and assortment of enemies. The ending was pretty quick, but in my opinion left the door open to maybe having a sequel. I would love to see more from this world!
Adam Moreno · May 09, 2022 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Dungeons of Dreadrock is a well-designed puzzle game that cleverly builds on its formula throughout its brief run.
Mitch Vogel · Apr 27, 2022 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - This innovative puzzler combines clever yet accessible puzzles with a dash of humour to create a very enjoyable experience. Instead of just putting square pegs into round holes, you genuinely have to think outside the box, and finding the solution is always surprising and entertaining. Dreadrock is a dungeon well worth delving into.
Jonathan Trussler · Apr 10, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - It’s a quality game with a very affordable ad removal fee, and we’re not so swimming in dungeon-plunging riches that we should pass that kind of thing up just because of some slightly wonky controls.
Shaun Musgrave · Mar 08, 2022 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Dungeons of Dreadrock is a dungeon-crawling action puzzle game where we play as an older sister entering a dangerous cave to save her brother. Her little brother was told by the city elders that he was destined to defeat the darkness looming inside, but we soon learn that there’s a much more sinister plan at play and things aren’t all as they seem.

About the game
Trailers & Screenshots:
Dungeons of Dreadrock basically takes the idea of oldschool first-person grid-based real-time Dungeon Crawlers (like Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder or Legend of Grimrock) and shifts the perspective to top-down. But what seems like a little twist results in a whole new (yet somewhat familiar) experience that was designed to be accessible for oldschool gamers and casual gamers alike.
