  • With a high spike in difficulty that demands respect and practice to scale over, DJMax Respect is a journey that will take you through the last dozen years of Korean rhythm games with a roster of many of the series' greatest hits.

  • DJMax Respect is an excellent package for rhythm game fans to pick up, regardless of having played the series before or not. It’s absolutely loaded with tracks and a strong difficulty curve, meaning that players are regularly being challenged to do increasingly difficult tracks. 140 songs is more than enough, but there will soon be a cavalcade of DLC for those looking to stockpile even more music. With so much content right out of the gate, rhythm lovers will find themselves coming back to DJMax Respect again and again.

  • Looking at the same notes fall down to the same virtual DJ equipment would get boring quickly. Thankfully, some of the unlocks available as the player progresses is new skins for both. So the notes can rain down onto the screen in a wide array of colors and patterns, including sets from older games in the series. The look of the equipment that represents the player’s gear can be changed as well.

  • Although I came in rusty, DJMax Respect beckoned me to keep my fingers dancing and to further one-up myself. The more I did that the more fun it became, and I'm looking forward to enjoying all of the DLC to come, and potentially, the full-on resurrection of DJMax in the west.

  • This is a brilliant rhythm game experience and if you put in some time learning to get your bearings, this might end up being your favourite rhythm game. The music collection is amazing across all genres it covers and the DJMax franchise has truly come into its own on PS4. I can’t wait to play the DLC songs when they release.

  • DJMax Respect is easily the hardest music game I've ever played but is also the most jam-packed with songs right on the disc and plenty of content to unlock. While it doesn't feature household named like Aerosmith or other lesser rock bands, it has a little something for everyone.
