    Graphically, Digger Dan DX is nothing to write home about. It looks nice enough but was definitely designed with the 2DS in mind. The audio is pretty lacklustre too; there’s certainly nothing memorable, so headphones won’t really be required here. The important part as always though is the gameplay, and Digger Dan does mostly get this right.

    That said, Digger Dan DX is still a thoroughly enjoyable title, especially for those yearning for the high score obsessed days of yesteryear. If you’re a fan of games like Pac-Man, Dig Dug, and Mappy, I think you’ll find Digger Dan DX to be right up your alley.

    Digger Dan DX is a good game for those who want something non-committal to fill a few moments. You can play a level or two at a time, which serves well for occasions when you want something light to play. Despite its simple exterior, there is a surprisingly amount of gameplay to be had thanks to the 100 levels and the replayability factor of finding all the gold stars. Digger Dan DX is well worth its price tag, and recommended for puzzle gamers especially.

    Though difficulty may be hard to found, the lack of actual repetitious puzzles is astounding, smooth music played throughout and the overall fun gameplay to found makes Dan perfect to jump into for spare moments, Long term though the game truly lacks any depth and doesn’t do anything significant to stand out from the crowd. An enjoyable experience but ultimately forgettable even if do get a pet Gopher.

Can you guide him in the right direction by digging through the earth to collect the gems and nuggets of gold? Work out your path carefully as you push rocks out of the way or you could find Dan caught in one of the many traps. As you dig deeper and deeper through the 100 caves, you will uncover secret gems buried in the earth, unravel the mysteries of the wormholes which transport you around the level, blow holes in walls with the abandoned barrels full of TNT and collect pickaxes to release gems that are trapped in rock. Challenge yourself to complete the cave, beat the timer and collect the hidden secret gem on every level.
