- Dicey Dungeons is a clever dungeon-crawler from renowned game designer Terry Cavanagh, who took the usual deck-building formula of Slay the Spire and adapted it to use dice instead of cards.
Alex Sem · Apr 10, 2023 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Dicey Dungeons is a hell of a lot of fun. Its vibrant art style is a delight, and its simple but endlessly entertaining gameplay loop will keep you coming back time and time again.
Kim Snaith · Feb 13, 2023 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - A gameshow inside of a whimsical fantasy world that lends itself well to feeling like you’re trapped in a casino you never want to leave.
TREVOR WELLS · Sep 30, 2022 Reviewed on AndRead full review - I know the wait for Dicey Dungeons on mobile has been a lot longer than I expected, but it has been worth it to see the game release in such a polished state. While it has a few issues that I hope can be fixed in potential updates, Dicey Dungeons is plain brilliant and a perfect fit on iOS.
Mikhail Madnani · Jul 08, 2022 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Dicey Dungeons is a truly excellent roguelike that feels perfectly at home on mobile. Stop playing whatever derivative mobile equivalent you've been putting up with for however long and pick up this true classic.
Campbell Bird · Jul 08, 2022 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - It’s so smartly designed in how the classes and equipment all work together to create consistently unique and creative instances where you have to squeeze the usefulness out of almost every play style and strategy.
Neal Ronaghan · Jan 06, 2021 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Dicey Dungeons is another worthy roguelike experience for Nintendo Switch that’s not only incredibly satisfying to play but also features a unique hook in its use of dice. We may be a little spoilt for choice when it comes to the roguelike genre but Dicey Dungeons is an addition you’ll want to make time for.
Ryan Janes · Jan 03, 2021 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - If you like roguelikes or card games, we’d highly recommend you pick this up as soon as you can – and even if you don’t, we’d still encourage you to check it out regardless.
Mitch Vogel · Dec 22, 2020 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Longer term play is limited by the absence of multiplayer, but as a slice of solo deck-building Dicey Dungeons is engrossing, not to mention buoyed by great art and presentation. I do feel that faint itch to just load up Gwent and tend to my decks there instead when I play, but Gwent doesn’t look anywhere near as much like Ren & Stimpy as this.
Phil Iwaniuk · Aug 20, 2019 Reviewed on PCRead full review - While Dicey Dungeons isn’t an infinitely replayable dungeon crawler, that’s probably for the best. So many roguelikes demand that players devote themselves for hours and hours to see everything the game has to offer. In Dicey Dungeons, everything is already on the table. It’s a highly replayable game that you can pick up for short sessions whenever the moment strikes. Lady Luck will be waiting to whisk you through battles and a boss fight before giving your character a highly improbable chance at winning your goal. That’s fine though. It gives you plenty of reasons to come on down again and again.
