  In a fair, yet plausible attempt to establish which kind of audience Defend Your Crypt seems targeted at - or more appropriate to recommend to - it's honestly quite difficult to go beyond those who want to try every single decent-to-good puzzle game available on their 3DS systems.

  The music in the game was kind of cringey. It sounded like it was badly recorded. At some points in the soundtrack the thing that sounds like a flute gets really high-pitched and it sounds so out-of-place. The soundtrack is the same throughout the levels, there are 30 levels, and even an option to make the levels more difficult. I did not try the levels on a harder difficulty, since I was barely getting by on the normal difficulty levels.

  Gameplay is difficult, but rarely frustrating, as players can usually easily identify and correct their mistakes. For this reason, I think Defend Your Crypt is a great title for anyone look ing to test their mental reflexes.

  Although we're certainly in the company of undead kings, Defend Your Crypt doesn't have grand ambitions. Instead it aims to deliver a solid puzzle title with a unique twist on the tried and tested 'tower-defense' formula. The Egyptian setting alone is something you don't often see from the perspective of an undead Pharaoh, so while the gameplay is slightly repetitious there's still enough here to justify giving it a shot.

  That being said, it is disappointing that the game wasn't shooting for anything grander. In its current state, I only saw myself playing short sessions before moving on to other games. All in all, I would recommend it more if you want to play it on the Nintendo 3DS. That is where the game shines the most.

  Defend your Crypt faz lembrar Lemmings mas em vez de se guiar uma tribo à saída, tem de se impedir que a comitiva sobreviva. O esquema de armadilhas está bem implementado e consegue ser genuinamente divertido, mesmo que por vezes a troca de pisos em alguns níveis possa atrapalhar e ponha em causa a pontuação final. Pode tornar-se repetitivo com o tempo mas é preferível jogar em sessões de curta duração. Um conceito diferente que vale a pena experimentar.
