- Despite having a very similar feel to the first game, De Blob 2 manages to stand out on its own. The overall storyline does hold it back slightly. However the additions to gameplay, new abilities and the upgrades to De Blob and Pinky add substance. The addition of a Co-op mode also makes playing with a friend enjoyable.
Heath Shusterman-Zimmerman · Oct 02, 2018 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Overall, if you’re a fan of the De Blob series or if you’re just looking for a nice and peaceful game to add to your Switch library, I’d recommend giving this one a shot and letting your inner graffiti artist run wild.
Matthew Olivo · Sep 12, 2018 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - de Blob 2 keeps many of the same characteristics found in the original game, with both the brilliant - and the not-so-brilliant - features mostly staying intact. The cameras can still be occasionally fiddly, and things can feel a little too easy in places, but brand new 2D sections and a slightly more refined-feeling overall experience put the sequel just above the original in our pecking order.
Ryan Craddock · Aug 31, 2018 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - If there is a downside to this remaster it is that it barely takes advantage of the new hardware. Since the game is backwards compatible I booted that version up before playing the new one. The graphical difference is negligible. For players that already own the original game this remaster seems unnecessary. There is really nothing added in the way of performance. Still, the game has aged well.
Ken McKown · Mar 22, 2018 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Even though De Blob 2 isn’t without fault, it’s a joyful and wholesome experience that amuses more than it frustrates. Adults might find it too simplistic, but it’s perfect for children.
Ashley Bates · Mar 09, 2018 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - De Blob 2 is a refreshing game from the tedium I experience from the first game. You'll still end up doing the same thing for most of the game but the focus on platforming instead of solely coloring everything provides a much more streamlined experience. There's fun to have here but de Blob 2 mostly adheres to those who are fans of old-school platformers. Those uninterested in the genre won't find anything to draw them in.
Grayshadow · Mar 02, 2018 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - de Blob 2 suffers from repetitive gameplay and wonky camera issues. However, if you can overlook these niggling problems, there’s a surprisingly lengthy and endearing platforming experience within. It’s not a groundbreaking game, but it is accessible, and will surely be appreciated by fans of the genre and newcomers alike.
Anthony Cole · Mar 01, 2018 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - I would firmly say that de Blob 2 is not a bad game. It’s not a great one either, but it definitely has it’s perks. The platforming is solid, even if other parts of the game lacking, and it accomplishes everything that it sets out to do. SyFy Kids may be publishing the game in tandem with THQ, explicitly leading to some calling it childish, I would hardly make such a distinction.
Corey Schwanz · Mar 15, 2011 Reviewed on PS3Read full review - De Blob 2 accelerates with ideas but stalls with execution
Edge Staff · Mar 11, 2011 Reviewed on PS3 - It’s such a shame because the highs are really good. It’s just that the lows will probably cause most gamers to break things
