- Even though the actual gameplay of CRYMACHINA was a bit underwhelming at times, we thoroughly enjoyed the story that unfolded here...While the battles can still be rather tough, you can simply swap to the Casual Mode setting if you just want to delve into the game’s story content. If you’re looking for an intense and action-packed RPG, you’ll probably end up disappointed, however.

Sure, combat may not be comparable to other polished ARPGs, but it’s still so damn satisfying. I also eventually adapted to the poor dodging mechanic, though a patch or two would help to elevate it.

For example, regular enemies are often pushovers while some bosses can end your life within seconds if you don't consistently stay at the top of your game.

Slick, responsive combat and a fantastic musical score make this a title you shouldn’t overlook.
