- Cronos: The New Dawn is a really respectable Switch 2 horror game and early addition to its launch library.
Jenni Lada · Oct 28, 2025 Reviewed on Switch 2Read full review - Cronos: The New Dawn is a self-described “brutal third-person survival horror” game. This could be the most apt description of an eShop listing I’ve ever
· Oct 04, 2025 Reviewed on Switch 2Read full review - Cronos: The New Dawn is an exception survival horror title that puts significant emphasis on building atmosphere and tension.
· Sep 29, 2025 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Cronos: The New Dawn is an unforgivingly brutal survival horror experience that harkens back to the old-school design with more modern sensibilities.
· Sep 18, 2025 Reviewed on PCRead full review - The creators behind the Silent Hill 2 remake present an original survival horror, involving a deadly pandemic and constantly evolving monsters.
· Sep 05, 2025 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Cronos: The New Dawn is a brilliant addition to the survival horror genre. In a lot of ways it's derivative, especially when it comes to how it plays and how it feels. However, Bloober has injected enough charm, curiosities, and weirdness into it to make it not only its own thing, but something almost endearing. With impeccable visuals, an entrancing score, and a captivatingly dark time-travelling mystery, Cronos: The New Dawn is a delectable piece of sci-fi horror.
Aaron Bayne · Sep 03, 2025 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Cronos: The New Dawn has an excellent, thoughtful premise that feels dark and dangerous, but does a poor job of executing on its promising sci-fi ideas. A questionable religion born from trying to save the world in the face of a rampaging disease with clear parallels to the global pandemic we all recently experienced is great fodder for a story, but I was left shrugging my shoulders by the end. Thankfully, the gameplay, though familiar, offered plenty to pull me through the approximately 12-hour experience to see the end.
Kyle Hilliard · Sep 03, 2025 Reviewed on PS5 - Cronos: The New Dawn is an unabashed mash-up of survival horror's greatest hits, from Dead Space to Silent Hill, and its references make it a thrillingly familiar experience for fans of the horror genre. The only problem – which is, at times, significant – is a frustrating inventory system that can make combat feel more irritating than tense. Still, this is an atmospheric and uniquely introspective adventure for those who value a game's story as much as its action.
Ashley Bardhan · Sep 03, 2025 Reviewed on PC, PS5, Series X|S, Switch 2Read full review - For a game with the tagline “Don’t let them merge”, Cronos: The New Dawn is a masterful combination of equal parts Resident Evil , Dead Space , and The Thing , and is well worth the time of any survival horror fan out there.
Kevin Low · Sep 03, 2025 Reviewed on PC, PS5, Series X|S, Switch 2Read full review - Cronos: The New Dawn is a great new survival horror property and I hope we see more of The Traveller’s adventures in future.
