The game is heavily action-oriented and you are always tasked to kill hordes of enemies but it never gets boring since you're playing as one badass telekinesis freak. Hurling concrete, levitating, and slowing down time never gets old, plus the gunplay in this game is soooo good, especially when playing on the PS5 with the DualSense. The game's pacing is great in breaking up the monotony and the story has been interesting to unravel while progressing through the levels. It was a bit tough at the beginning, and it took me a while to get through the main story missions as it constantly throws you in different directions with concepts like astral planes, the collective unconscious, etc. Overall, Control is a fantastic game, and it has given me one of the most unique experiences with a new game I've had in a long while. Foundations have been laid for a great IP and a sequel would be most welcome.
