  Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is a port of the PlayStation Portable version of the original PlayStation action-adventure RPG hit released in 1997. This mobile port emphasizes exploration over action, just like Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest - a game that truly helped define the "Metroidvania" genre.

  I really hope this isn’t just a one-off for Konami as I’d love to see more of the Castlevania games or the company’s PlayStation library make the jump, but we all know how this usually goes. For now, let’s just enjoy what we’ve got here: a wonderful pile of secrets.

  If you missed the original, it’s a chance to experience one of the pillars of a now-trending genre. If you remember it fondly, that’s a small price to pay for the waves of nostalgia you’ll feel from hearing That Music and fighting That Boss again. If you do have a controller, you have no excuse. Get this game now. Maybe if enough people buy it, a port of Rondo of Blood will be just around the corner!

  探索を成長を繰り返す「メトロイドヴァニア」はこの時点でほぼ完成されている。面白すぎる。多彩なアクション、ゴシックなグラフィック、魅力的なキャラ、荘厳なBGM。素晴らしい。UIも一新され、おまけ要素もPS4版準拠で楽しめる。つまりマリアは弱い。 仮想パッドの操作性がいまいちなので、改善するまでは頑張るかPS4のコントローラーを使うしかない。

  Castlevania: Symphony of the Night conferma tutte le proprie qualità anche nella versione mobile: il capolavoro di Koji Igarashi non sente il peso degli anni, complice il nuovo sistema di checkpoint che smussa gli originali spigoli dell'esperienza, coinvolgendo fin dalle prime battute grazie alle eccellenti atmosfere e a un gameplay solidissimo.

  Symphony of the Night è un capolavoro senza tempo. Sia chi lo ha amato alla follia che i curiosi destinati inevitabilmente ad invaghirsene dovrebbero guardare con interesse a questo porting per mobile. Ad un prezzo irrisorio è possibile infilarsi in tasca un pezzo di storia videoludica, e a rendere il tutto ancora più prezioso troviamo rifiniture purtroppo assenti nelle collection per le console casalinghe.
