- The fact that each level can be overcome in about 15 minutes or less makes Bridge Constructor Portal great for portable gaming on your Nintendo Switch. On the go, the convenient touch controls carry over from the mobile version (tap and drag to place your struts, zoom in for precise placement, etc.). Docked mode, however, is a bit more cumbersome.
Kirk Hiner · Mar 13, 2018 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Overall, Bridge Constructor Portal is a fun game if you like physics-based puzzles. It requires thought so you will get some decent length playing, but there is often a lot of setup in getting the bridges ready and testing if it works. It’s a nice, fun, solid puzzle game.
Joe Merrick · Mar 11, 2018 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Ultimately, Bridge Constructor Portal feels like a solid little collection of architectural challenges that will keep puzzle-hungry physics-lovers with plenty to do. But, anyone looking for a heavy dose of story or a treasure trove of Portal-related content shouldn’t expect much.
Scott Polhemus · Mar 07, 2018 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - We’d give Bridge Constructor Portal a strong suggestion to anybody looking for a fun puzzle game on the eShop; this is a game that constantly makes you think outside the box, and there’s nothing else like it available at the moment.
Mitch Vogel · Mar 05, 2018 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - If you’re a fan of bridge building games or want to hop back into the Portal world with an interesting twist, I would highly recommend checking out Bridge Constructor Portal. However, perhaps check this out on the PC or a device with a touch screen for more precision while building. All in all Bridge Constructor Portal is a well made mash up of games that is fun for some hop-in hop-out puzzle solving.
Jordan Hawes · Mar 01, 2018 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Victory is sweet though (like cake). Figuring out the paths of vehicles, buttons, companion cubes, turrets, and every other puzzle element was just as gratifying as finally figuring out how to escape an Aperture testing facility. Finally lining up those trajectories to perfectly guide eight vehicles to the finish was triumphant as I overcame both physics and problem-solving.
Chandler Wood · Feb 28, 2018 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Bridge Constructor Portal successfully combines Portal with a bridge building physics puzzler. There's a clear love for Valve's series on display, with great presentation that takes you back to Aperture Science from a different perspective. While not as funny as either of the main games, the levels themselves incorporate Portal's elements in clever ways. The controls can be fiddly, and the trial and error nature of the game isn't for everyone, but this remains an addictive, fun title that fans of both Portal and physics-based challenges will appreciate.
Stephen Tailby · Feb 28, 2018 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Obviously, a game-breaking bug is a serious problem, but I was tired of Bridge Constructor Portal long before my progress was abruptly halted. This game falls short in just about every area; an amusing story or eye-catching visual design could have at least distracted from the dull puzzles, but you get no reprieve here.
Tom Mc Shea · Feb 28, 2018 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - A cool, well-executed Portal spin-off/mash-up, Bridge Constructor Portal takes one of Valve's dormant franchises and neatly transposes it into an appealing and enjoyable puzzle game. Next up, Bridge Constructor Half-Life? Play it. For science.
Richard Walker · Feb 28, 2018 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Simply put Bridge Constructor Portal is a great puzzle game. It’s fair but challenging, it includes a ton of levels, and best of all it feels like a part of the world of Aperture Science, while at the same time feeling like it’s own separate entry in the franchise. At $14.99 I can absolutely recommend it to both hardcore fans of puzzle games and Portal, as well as casual gamers.
