The games also play much better on these platforms, with the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X recently getting a 4K 60fps update. I guess it comes down to whether you think having versions of these great games on the go is worth the cost. But for me, no matter how good these games are, I would recommend waiting for a price drop.

  • Overall, BioShock: The Collection on the Nintendo Switch is kind of like cold pizza: maybe not as enjoyable as it is warm, but it’s still pizza, which is amazing. If you are looking for a portable version of 2K’s phenomenal franchise, then BioShock: The Collection for Switch is the best you can find. Well, the only, but the port still offers a pretty satisfactory and enjoyable BioShock experience.

  • If you are like me and have never played a BioShock game before, I highly recommend picking up this collection. If you played one of these games or even all of them on another console, it is still an excellent collection on the Switch. Since you get all three games and their DLC, I think it is well worth the asking price of $49.99.

  • It's hard to think of a series that has done more for the optics of the industry. The Bioshock series is a true artistic achievement, and these games are glorious to behold on the Switch.

  • Bioshock: The Collection is an excellent way to experience some of the finest first-person shooters of the last 15 years. Admittedly, it’s hard to ignore the fact that this compilation is regularly available at a deep discount on other platforms, but if the Switch is your only option, you really aren’t sacrificing much in the way of graphics and performance.

  • Your interest in BioShock: The Collection on the Switch is going to depend on if you belong in one of two specific camps. If you still lament the cancellation of BioShock for the PS Vita, then the collection will be perfect for you. It may not be a new story in the universe, but it fulfills the desire to take the familiar world with you on the go.

  • If you’re one of the few people that never gave the Bioshock games a try, you’re missing out on a fantastic set of games. Given that they are available on so many platforms now, there’s no real excuse not to give these a try. Whether that should be on the Switch is a different story altogether. While it’s certainly appealing to be able to play Bioshock on your daily commute, we do feel it’s hard to justify the price point for this port. We recommend getting them at about half the price on PS4 or Xbox One or waiting for a sale.

  • BioShock: The Collection stands as yet another fantastic port in the Switch’s ever-growing library, combining three excellent games and all their DLC into one convincing package. Stable performance, engrossing narratives, fun gameplay, and lots of content make this one an easy recommendation, even if these releases show their age from time to time.

  • BioShock: The Collection is made up of three brilliant pieces that can stand on their own, but are worth so much more as a whole story. Each game pulls you in and won’t let you stop, as something new is always around the corner. It’s linear narrative and gorgeous set pieces keep the story rolling forward in a way that many modern games can’t quite seem to recapture.

  • Whether you are adding it for the novelty of compiling together a digital library on the go, the practicality of finding gaming time within a busy lifestyle or even to simply experience a past title released for the very first time on a Nintendo system, BioShock: The Collection is most definitely a worthwhile addition to the Nintendo Switch library.
