- Asgard’s Wrath is a fantastic action-adventure RPG that can stand with the best of them on consoles and PC, but the fact that it’s meticulously crafted for VR means it sits in a league of its own. Asgard’s Wrath represents something VR enthusiasts have been waiting for for years now: the first absolute must-play virtual reality game that feels fully fleshed-out rather than a glorified tech demo. Its beautiful world, excellent combat, great interface, and straightforward but detailed story come together to form something spectacular.

With many VR games you wonder how much your enjoyment is being carried along by the novelty of the technology and while there is still a lot of that in Asgard’s Wrath, this is one of the few times where the spectacle and the gameplay are on almost equal footing.

Su magnitud no tiene comparación con ningún otro desarrollo hasta la fecha y se nota mucho que estamos ante un juego directamente planificado y desarrollado para Realidad Virtual, y no un modo metido a cajón para un videojuego estándar.

Vous attendiez un action-RPG digne de ce nom pour votre Oculus ? Vous voilà servis. Hormis une certaine répétitivité dans les combats et des chargements un poil embêtants, nous n’avons que peu de choses à reprocher à cette très belle expérience de plus de 30h.

La sua trama spezzata in quattro avventure da circa cinque, e gli innumerevoli segreti tutti da scoprire, lo rendono poi perfetto sia per sessioni breve che per serate dedicate. In alcuni aspetti, ci ha ricordato due gemme con i Dark Messiah di Arkane. Se avete un Oculus, Asgard Wrath è imprescindibile.

Ma nonostante questo Asgard’s Wrath rimane un’esperienza in VR da provare assolutamente. È infatti un action-GdR a sfondo mitologico appassionante, graficamente solido, molto longevo e con una struttura che tra inventario, crescita del personaggio, crafting, armi e quest ha davvero poco da invidiare ai campioni del genere.

Anche i suoi modelli ludici sono elevati – l’ultimo God of War viene citato apertamente – ma il gioco di Sanzaru Games riesce comunque a costruirsi una forte personalità ammantandola di sfida e gusto per la scoperta, complice una doppia dimensione – divina e umana – capace di impressionare per dettagli e potenza dello spettacolo VR.

Ed è per questo che Asgard's Wrath merita di sedere nelle sale del Valhalla, dove dimorano i più grandi giochi mai realizzati per la realtà virtuale.
