  Artifact is a challenging, deep, and surprisingly approachable card game that breaks many of the conventions I’ve come to expect from the genre. That mechanical bliss is complemented by countless Easter eggs and detailed lore, but I am starting to miss a more meaningful progression system to keep me engaged long term.

  All-told, Artifact is a capable reimagining of modern trading card games. It plays quite a bit differently than just about any of its contemporaries--digital or not--and while the marketplace is volatile to say the least, there’s little evidence that the pricing is straight-up predatory. Just note, however, that the game is not free-to-play and be prepared to spend some additional bit of money coming in.

  Given the above, any conclusion I make about Artifact is going to come with some qualification. Value for money, I'm well aware, is going to be a big factor for many looking to buy the game. But the strength of the design will be enough to keep me hooked. Not only is Artifact's depth remarkable, it also doesn't come at any great loss of accessibility. I'm excited to see the metagame develop over the coming weeks and months. Let's just hope Axe's price comes down a bit.

  Artifact pulls a ton of flavor from Dota 2, but it’s not necessarily a game for Dota 2 players. Artifact is instead a highly cerebral card game of push and pull, with intense resource allocation and randomization management. Artifact is absolutely not for everyone, but it excels at creating a crazy strategy cocktail pulling from every bottle on the shelf. For card game fans, Artifact is not to be missed.

  Ultimately, Valve has crafted a highly engaging card game that brings the concepts, characters, and artwork of Dota 2 together brilliantly. The current state of the monetization is a bit off-putting, giving players who buy the best cards a clear advantage, but Artifact is still a game that manages to be both complex and accessible to people with little-to-no card game experience.

  Artifact is obviously very ambitious, but also very intricate and complex game. The MOBA 3-lane system is a refreshment in the execution and it branches out your tactical prowess, as well as planning the simultaneous maneuvers on the field. All in all, Artifact is a serious candidate to topple down the Hearthstone from the throne of the best digital TCG, and will this game do it, remains to be seen in the days to come.

  Artifact is not for everyone. It isn't for people who are red/green colorblind, for one. It isn't for the die-hard deck builders who would rather grind games than pay cash. But it is for people who enjoy card games with an incredible set of fair and unique mechanics that reward out-playing your opponent over luck and randomness.

  Valve's new CCG definitely seems to be one of the better games in the genre and there's plenty of room for it to grow past this point. It'll be interesting to see how they will keep supporting this lovely experience but as of now it's certainly worth a try for everyone who's even remotely interested - and the price of it isn't too bad either.

  Es imposible ignorar su estricto sistema de monetización basado en la economía real, también que el estado actual del juego (con una sola campaña de contenido) no es suficiente para subsistir a largo plazo, pero para aquellos jugadores advertidos que quieran adentrarse en ello, se verán recompensados con uno de los juegos más profundos y mejor diseñados del género.

  S’il ne fallait juger que ses règles et son gameplay, Artifact est un excellent jeu de cartes qui impose une vision stratégique du placement. Il faut prévoir ses coups à l’avance et il est possible de renverser des situations compliquées sur de simples prises de décision. Le système d’achat objet offre plus de souplesse et les decks s’avèrent variés.
