- Another Fisherman’s Tale is a charming, unique, and well-crafted puzzle game with creative set pieces and a heartfelt story, but unfortunately is let down by an unwieldy control scheme and a short three-to-four-hour long campaign. Still, the story of Bob and his adventures is worth diving into for its sheer creativity and uniqueness.

While the first title primarily worked off a recursive environment inside a lighthouse, the sequel is all about using different “kinds” of hands to solve nautical puzzles.

The narrative feels contorted to accommodate the gameplay, which itself stales rather quickly, and by the time it gets on track the game is over.

The moments where everything works, and the first three levels in particular, demonstrate the huge potential of the setting, storytelling and the puzzles that inhabit it. It’s a pity that the promise isn’t fulfilled by the rest of the game.

Nevertheless, the love Vertigo Games put in shines through. The story is flawless and the gameplay, while relatively simple, serves its purpose without getting in the way of itself. Another Fisherman’s Tale is a beautiful game that deserves your time on PSVR2.

No es tan habitual como nos gustaría encontrarnos con juegos diseñados exclusivamente con la realidad virtual en mente, y este es un gran ejemplo de que se pueden conseguir experiencias únicas si se aprovecha el formato. Por desgracia, seguimos tirando de subtítulos en un título donde la narrativa es fundamental, y problemas puntuales en el control pueden interferir en la experiencia, pero, en general, Another Fisherman’s Tale es un título muy recomendable para los poseedores de un casco de realidad virtual.

La durata dell'avventura rende finalmente giustizia al valore della produzione, mentre le nuove meccaniche basate sulla capacità di manipolare il corpo del protagonista garantiscono un approccio fresco e originale alla risoluzione degli enigmi. Al netto di qualche sbavatura nel sistema di controllo, abbiamo apprezzato il maggior coinvolgimento fisico richiesto al giocatore nel corso dell'esperienza. Il comparto narrativo ci spinge a volerne saperne di più su Bob e sua figlia Nina, accompagnati da una voce narrante che mescola sapientemente leggerezza e poeticità.
