Dadish 3D may not be interested in revolutionizing that formula, but its cohesive visual identity and tightly designed levels are a testament to why the platformer is still around. Charming designs, a steep but manageable difficulty curve, and brisk pacing all ensure that Dadish 3D never overstays its welcome, even if the boss fights occasionally leave something to be desired.

Howl is an homage to Germanic fairy and folk tales with a beautiful art style evoking illuminated manuscripts. The puzzles were thoughtfully constructed, and I was able to see my way to victory in every level while still feeling clever about it. With a touch of polish, it can become something truly special, so I have my fingers crossed that Mi'pu'mi revisits this universe.
