  • Lost in Play is a cute heart-warming point-and-click adventure about a brother and sister who became so engrossed in their inventive role-playing game that they completely lost touch with reality. Now, they must brave the dangers of their imaginary world to safely return home before time runs out.

  • The concept, the animation, the voice-over, the music and the gameplay all come together seamlessly to bring us this jewel of a game. Without a doubt, one of my favorites, if not my favorite game of the year so far. I especially recommend it to fans of Over the Garden Wall and Gravity Falls. You will feel at home.

  • Lost in Play offers an enchanting escape into a world of whimsy and imagination, delivering a delightful and unforgettable adventure that leaves players eager to explore further. The attention to detail in the art style and nostalgic audio perfectly complements the game’s enchanting storyline, creating a captivating atmosphere that draws players into the heart of the dreamscapes.

  • Lost in Play is an appealing, even mesmerizing adventure game with one of the best settings ever conceived and some very amusing puzzles. There are certain plot threads that are lacking, and the challenges can be arduous, even with the hint system. Still, this is an adventure game that is well worth experiencing.

  • Lost in Play doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it does refine it into something that directly speaks to our inner child. Its juxtaposition of simple point and click storytelling and challenging mini-games makes for a fantastic balance sure to keep things interesting.

  • The game would play well with all ages (though having a parent around would be most helpful for those trickier puzzles) but its presentation is what will keep families playing. It grabs and keeps your attention the entire time, making this game a joy to finish. It may lack a depth in its mechanics but makes up for its seamless animation and catchy musical score.

  • Lost in Play barely puts a foot wrong, delivering cerebral gaming and effervescent entertainment. In doing so, it makes many of the genre’s design challenges look easy. Here’s hoping it inspires and influences future graphic adventures – or at least gets a sequel.

  • There is a lot to love here, from the charming characters to the gorgeous art style to the laid-back gameplay. Lost in Play is a fantastic little title that feels like the perfect antidote to a bad day. It’s a shame that it’s a relatively short experience, as we’d love to spend more time in this world. Hopefully, Toto and Gal make a return in the future, with more new adventures -though if that should be the case, can we please get them to be able to actually talk, Happy Juice Games?

  • Overall, Lost in Play keeps all of its promises, and it keeps them well. The gameplay can be tricky, but it is fun and exactly what you would expect from a point-and-click adventure time. The art style is incredible; the 2d graphics make it look straight out of a children’s program. The sound design is clever and helps to propagate the illusion of childhood. Every single element that makes up this game serves to create an atmosphere that feels unapologetically magical. Lost in Play is a game that both children and adults can enjoy, and we need more games like that.

  • Lost in Play is a game about imagination. Basically, it’s the same idea as Rugrats, but in a modern Gravity Falls-ish style. Style is everything for this game, which looks and sounds amazing. It is an absolute treat to see our two heroes, Toto and Gal, run around and solve puzzles. Even though it’s a smaller game, only lack of voice acting (sorry, I don’t buy that it’s an inclusivity feature) gives away its modest beginnings.
