Kena: Bridge of Spirits

i installed this game for my gf, i was 4 day out to work, so i left it to my gf to have fun without me. but when i return she wasn't far and we both continue to finish this game. it was like spirited away, but more of a light side. cute creatures. beautiful world. something like asian wisdoms. and nice gameplay. it's good game.

p.s anyone use this site except me? i'm not sure.

In this game we play as Kena, a girl like 12 years old, who is a spirit guider. Spirit guider are people who help spirits that haven't crossed the door to the spirit realm. It will not be a easy task, when the spirits have issues to pass the spirit world (guilty, regrets, etc) they will be corrupted. This makes the spirit guider a difficult task.

Kena is in a journey to the Mountain Shrine, but in her journey she founds a village with some spirits who needs help. Don't worry Kena is not alone, she has a little spirits called Rot and others spirits willing to help her too.

This game has many puzzles to be solve, but it's more focused in the battle. The village, and forest is corrupted and Kena have to purify it by defeating the corrupting monsters with the help of the Rots. The boss battles are hard, I played in normal mode and it were hard the boss battles. It can feel unjust, because the enemy hit takes you a lot of health. It will take you a while to defeat the boss battles. It would better if you master how to parry the enemy attacks, and exploit the Rot's abilities.

The game is beautiful, the story is strong because it talks about: lost, regrets, death, forgiveness, etc.

The game ends leaving with some questions about Kena's past. I hope we could have a continuation of Kena's journeys.

I enjoyed the challenge so much that it made me think about playing a Souls game. The game is absolutely stunning. Probably the most beautiful game I've ever played. It's is helped thta this game was made by an animation study and that the world has very few characters. So density is very low.

The challenge and journey does become a repetitive near the end. You've got to go to three locations and fight three bosses and then fight a big boss. And sometimes what you need to do next is not super intuitive. I highly recommend this game. It's not the same price as a full AAA game but gives you a fairly full AAA experience.

Beautiful challenge

This game feels like watching a Dinsey film while playing it. One of the masterpieces for the year 2021. The gameplay is really challenging and wise. Reminds me of some Dark Souls Concept gameplay. It gave me enough challenge to maintain my sanity, to be honest. Kidding aside, this game actually created memory in my soul. This is the only game I played during the time I am recovering from my illness. I played this for hours and never got tired of it. I loved it too much. The graphics are too awesome. It really shines on the new consoles given its hardware capabilities. The story is great as well. Though the only thing I hated about this game is the fact that it didn't really focus much on the character backstory but rather threw us directly to the world itself. How I wish we could've explored more on the story of Kena alone.
