The game has some grind aspect to it and has a lot of achievment for you to unlock. But what I enjoy the most is the sound of picking up gems and seeing myself become stronger each round I play. Great game if you're looking for a way to waste 30 or more minutes of freetime.

Vampire Survivors

Even though I've only played it since shortly before its full release, Vampire Survivors has quickly become one of my favorite roguelike games. At its core, all you do is run around, collect XP gems, and kill an endless horde of enemies with your arsenal of auto-firing weapons.  
  
In spite of its simple mechanics, the sheer satisfaction of watching your damage numbers go up will keep your eyes glued to the screen until you fail or somehow beat the insanely strong bosses that spawn after 30 minutes of ingame time.

It's amazing to see how such a simple game has spawned an entire subgenre of what I can only describe as "reverse bullet hells". It's great for all sorts of gamers, as you can pick it up for a quick run or two, or grind out the vast number of unlockable content through a few long sessions.
