  • Where Splatoon 3 really shines is in its co-op offering. The menu is simple to navigate to find the exact kind of play you want. It’s very easy to find friends to play against or team up with against teams of strangers. The game manages to team you up with players of a similar skill level really well.

  • It’s a game where you will feel the 3-minute matches feel like full-length matches in other games. This is easily one of the best games you can play with friends or even by yourself.

  • Splatoon 3 has so much to offer on launch. From its imaginative and over-the-top single-player campaign to the smorgasbord of online and co-operative modes, there’s enough content here to keep newcomers and veterans busy for months on end.

  • There’s still a lot on the horizon for this game, given that there are promises to keep the updates coming until 2024, but as it is, you will not regret spending on this fantastic title. Splatoon 3 is getting a 9 out of 10.

  • I really enjoyed the story mode. There are a lot of new mechanics to play with and a lot more secrets to uncover. And I really enjoyed completing the log. My only complaint is that there are a lot fewer boss battles.

The story here is also a lot of fun and features some of the favorite returning characters and a large bit of Splatoon lore for hardcore fans. The Campaign mode is definitely my favorite part of this game and would make the game worthy of purchase on it’s own.

  • Its plethora of quality-of-life changes mean this will almost certainly be the best game in the series going forward and the place for new players to jump in.

  • It seems hard to justify a third full fat Splatoon game in the same time frame. While it might not be groundbreaking, Splatoon 3 is nonetheless a high watermark for the series, and is a welcome premium product in the era of battle passes and microtransactions.

  • As it stands, Splatoon 3 is a wildly inventive story campaign paired with a massive amount of multiplayer modes and options, making it the most robust Splatoon game so far. I need more time to put the multiplayer modes through their paces, but the foundation appears strong.

  • While it doesn't break any new ground, Splatoon 3 is still a unique joy within the shooter genre. There are the typical Nintendo design quirks built into the online experience, but they don't spoil the thrilling combat loop at the game's heart.
