- The production values are top-notch across the board. If you are looking to play the ultimate version of Spider-Man 2, this is it.
Lou Sytsma · Feb 14, 2025 Reviewed on PCRead full review - 57 Read our review policy Spider-Man 2 Toothless writing, old-fashioned open world design, and ropey port work undermine what should be a thrilling cinematic adventure.
Robin Valentine · Feb 06, 2025 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Players keen to continue Peter and Miles’ story on PC should hold out a little longer and wait for some patches, as it’s hard to recommend Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC in its current state.
Toby Berger · Feb 05, 2025 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PC is unfortunately the inferior version of what is otherwise an amazing game.
Dalton Cooper · Feb 04, 2025 Reviewed on PCRead full review - GREAT While Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is able to surpass its two predecessors in just about everything from gameplay to story, the PC port is in desperate need of optimization patches.
Joelle Daniels · Feb 03, 2025 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Spider-Man 2 is great fun — a very concise package of technically exceptional set pieces webbed together by compelling characters dealing with friendship, loss, and trauma. The story, however, is unevenly paced with a short and quick tail-end, leaving players asking for more. Combat is as fun and familiar with more enemy variety, but still lacking in stealth mechanics. Traversal is the best and fastest in the series owing to the new web wings and wind tunnels, although the worldbuilding still leaves much to be desired.
Adrian Cozmuta · Dec 10, 2023 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Spider-Man 2 made me feel like the web-slinger himself – two versions of him, in fact – as I played through the game. I loved the feeling of getting around the city, fighting crime and saving the day. I didn't like how weak Spider-Man sometimes felt against bigger groups, nor did I like when the story slowed things down and took me away from the high-flying action sections. However, the overall experience was able to surpass both of these issues, and Spider-Man 2 is worthy of every accolade it receives.
Jason Fanelli · Nov 20, 2023 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - There’s still a ton of things to like about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Insomniac wisely kept the formula that worked so well in place and expanded it, removing a lot of what didn’t work and filling it in with new side content to leave players with plenty to do. There are few open-world games that are anywhere near as engaging, in large part because so few of them can capture the genuine joy of simply moving through the world in the way these games do.
Andrew Thornton · Nov 10, 2023 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is a great sequel that took everything that made the first game a hit and improved upon it, without taking any real risks. The story is just as good as the previous games, although it can suffer from some pacing issues. The combat and swinging feel as fun as ever with a bunch of meaningful improvements. All of this wrapped in a great presentation, even though for an exclusive title it could have used a bit more polish. If you enjoyed the previous games, or are looking for a fun open-world superhero adventure, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is definitely a must-play.
Wirotaboto · Nov 06, 2023 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Marvel's Spider-Man 2 perfectly captures the superhero experience from start to finish without sacrificing smart, thoughtful storytelling.
