  • The incredible highs outweigh the occasional lows. This game would have been a 10 if it had been more properly managed and released in a truly finished state. As is, it is still one of the best open-world RPGs I have ever played. The graphics, gameplay, story, and audio are all at the top of the industry.

  • Despite its mismanaged launch, Cyberpunk is a success story. What began in December 2020 as an incomplete, often-unplayable sore spot for CD Projekt has become one of the most immersive RPGs I’ve ever played – one whose visuals, soundtrack, and narrative can go toe to toe with the strongest in the genre.

  • In another universe, this was the original launch date for a much more feature-complete version. By contrast, in ours, Cyberpunk 2077 may finally be able to stand on its own feet as a solid gaming experience for those willing to give it a chance.

  • This is how Cyberpunk 2077 should be played. It looks great, it performs like a dream, it takes advantage of the system’s features, and is almost entirely devoid of issues. If you were waiting on this version before finally diving into the lunatic world of Night City, fear not. You can finally enjoy this brilliant title without having to worry about having your immersion ruined by crashes and t-poses.

  • Cyberpunk 2077, in its current form on consoles, is a hard game to recommend getting involved with. There's a strong narrative here, brilliantly written characters, some excellent side missions, fun combat and an astonishing setting but, as things stand right now, it's an experience that's in need of some serious TLC.

  • The AI is laughable at best and seemingly absent at times, but that leads to moments of giddiness when I decimate the foes through a single quick hack. The bugs, while nearly omnipresent, didn't do enough to drive me away. Despite all of these critiques, I kept returning to the game for another dose of Cyberpunk because there's nothing else quite like it.

  • I’ve certainly had my share of fun and amazement soaking up what bits of Night City’s world that I could in my 80 hour playthrough, but nevertheless with a bad taste in the mouth when so many glitches and inconsistencies pulled me out of its overall experience.

  • Cyberpunk is an impressive game in many ways, no doubt. The game is frequently a thoroughly enjoyable title set in a graphically stunning world, even in spite of its major shortcomings. The stories and the characters of Night City (with the exception of possibly V herself) will hook you from the start; they’re beautifully rendered experiences that are cleverly crafted to be interconnected and deeply engaging, but the game’s grandeur never reaches true heights due to the mediocre aspects that overwhelm it.

About the game

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you.
