The game have improved in all aspects of the first part. It looks better. It is bigger. It plays better. The graphic is impressive in both stylization and technical quality. The mechanisms from the first game where fine tuned and few new were added I don't really see anything significant to complaint about here. I would say this is a prime example how the polishing of already successful predecessor should looks like. The companions are more helpful now in combat and finally do not cheat (or at least not so obviously) during stealth parts. I would say that was really bad and quite immersion breaking in the predecessor. The main story is logical conclusion of two group of people with different look on and/or place in a trolley problem Joel had to face in the end of first part. I think authors make a really great job here and they showed us how one event can be perceived in completely different lights. To achieve this the game make you play for both side of the story and throws in few levels that happens in the past. What gives you a great insight into motivation of characters. The story shows how dangerous and foolish lust for revenge can be and how it can consume a person. It also show how hard is to cope with loss of close one especially when it is caused by violence. This was one of most emotionally intensive game I have ever played. Everybody should have played a game with such a story.
