I am a fan of fighting games, and when I heard that a new fighting game was going to hit the Xbox Game Pass, I was hyped. I've heard good things about the Guilty Gear series, especially from my boyfriend who played the very first Guilty Gear back on the PSX.

So, what do I think about Guilty Gear? It's extremely fun and challenging.

The normal difficulty in arcade mode is quite challenging for me. I guess I still need to learn proper timing and maximize the BURST move. But that's the thing: I was struggling, but I had fun with it. That's what got me hooked on playing it.

As for the story, the game offers a story mode where you watch the full lore in anime cinematic cutscenes. This allows anyone who is interested in the story to catch up with the lore with ease.

It has other modes where you can customize your avatar by spending points, and I think that's a fun little side game to keep players busy.

But what stands out the most in -Strive- is the heavy metal music. I am not a fan of heavy metal, but I think having such a heavy soundtrack in a fighting game really hypes you up for your next fight, which is great in my opinion.

All in all, Guilty Gear -Strive- is a must-play for any fighting game fans out there.

Fighting with good music on the background

I recently played Guilty Gear Strive on Xbox Game Pass, and I have to say that it's an impressive fighting game that excels in many areas. I was able to play this with my cousins and actually had a fun experience with it. Now here are some points I want to take.

Let's start with the visuals. The artistry of this game is stunning, with vibrant colors and detailed character designs that pop off the screen. The attention to detail is impressive, and the game's technical merit is just as noteworthy. The animations are fluid and seamless, and the game runs smoothly without any hiccups or frame drops.

Moving on to sound design, the music in Guilty Gear Strive is a real highlight. The soundtrack is diverse and memorable, with tracks that range from heavy metal to electronic beats. It's a great complement to the intense action on screen. The sound effects and vocals are also well-done, with satisfying punches, kicks, and other sound effects that make each hit feel impactful.

In terms of interaction, the control and interface are straightforward and easy to use. The button inputs feel responsive and intuitive, making it easy to pull off flashy combos and special moves. The game's accessibility is also commendable, with options to adjust the difficulty and controls to better suit your playstyle.

Mechanically, Guilty Gear Strive is a lot of fun to play. The feedback you get from each hit is satisfying, and it feels great to pull off big combos and finish off opponents with flashy moves. The variety of characters and playstyles also keeps things fresh and interesting, with each character offering a unique set of moves and abilities to master.

Finally, the game's narrative and characters have a lot of heart. Each character has a distinct personality and backstory that adds depth to the game's world. The story mode is engaging and well-written, with plenty of twists and turns to keep you engaged.

However, one thing that I didn't like about the game is that some of the playable characters are locked behind a paywall. It feels like an unnecessary additional cost, especially when you're already paying for the game itself. But overall, Guilty Gear Strive is an excellent fighting game that's worth playing for anyone looking for a fun, challenging, and visually impressive experience.
