i remember playing Stronghold when i was a kid so this got me really excited. i really thought i would enjoy playing it. i did not. i opened it, tried building the way i remember to and it just didn't click.

maybe nostalgia has an expiration date? having played modern simulation games, this felt lacking. it might have enjoyed it before but i couldn't now.

who will enjoy it?

if one of your core memories is playing this, i think you'll find something precious. if you're looking for a nostalgia fix, you might also find something. but if you haven't played any stronghold games before, skip this. there are far more interesting medieval simulation games out there.

i thought it would be more familiar
