- I wasn’t expecting much going into this port, but was pleasantly surprised with it. On PS5 at least, the loading screens aren’t unbearable, it looks and runs great, and while annoying. the compressed audio isn’t the worst thing in the world. If you’re looking to play this on an actual PS4 or PS4 Pro, however, steer clear as it is significantly more compromised with lengthy load times and an inability to reach the 60 fps target.
David Flynn · Sep 17, 2024 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Overall though Star Wars Jedi Survivor successfully builds on the foundation of the first game, and then some. This is gaming on a massive scale, and despite some performance concerns and a few minor bugs this is hands down one of the best Star Wars titles in recent years.
Freddie Green · Jun 11, 2023 Reviewed on PC, PS5Read full review - It’s a shame that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor suffered from so many bugs upon its release, because it’s an absolutely fantastic game. I am beyond grateful that my time with it was largely unaffected by those issues, so I was able to enjoy the game the way it was intended. Nearly every aspect of Survivor has been improved upon from Fallen Order, making this one of the most enjoyable entries into the Star Wars franchise to date.
Heidi Hawes · Jun 06, 2023 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Cal Kestis is not a more elegant weapon, nor is he from a more civilised age. But he is an archetypal, almost personality-purged action figure upon which we can impress our Star Wars fantasies, which might just be what fans of Star Wars truly crave – in amongst Disney's multitudinous sprawl of prequels and dot-joiners – to stride through a galaxy far far away, with a cute droid buddy, and swing your laser sword at some baddies.
Josh Wise · May 17, 2023 Reviewed on PC, PS5, Series X|SRead full review - As it stands, it’s hard to recommend Jedi: Survivor on PC despite the excellent gameplay. Star Wars and action adventure fans will have a great time with this game, as long as expectations are in check regarding the current state of the game.
Kevin Foley · May 08, 2023 Reviewed on PCRead full review - As it stands, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor offers a captivating narrative experience marred by optimization issues. It’s an excellent, yet undercooked action-adventure title that gets me hyped for a third Star Wars game.
Cosmin Vasile · May 08, 2023 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Star Wars Jedi Survivor is easily in the conversation to be the best Star Wars game of all time, because it is simply sublime. An epic second act and adventure for what we can only hope is still early days in Cal Kestis’ Jedi career. Story mode is there for players who don’t fancy the Souls-inspired combat, which means this is a space-faring adventure fit for everyone, and is such a fitting successor to Fallen Order.
Ford James · May 07, 2023 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Jedi: Survivor offers a deep story, thrilling combat, and exciting exploration, and despite some technical issues that drag it down, it's still my new favorite Star Wars game. DualShockers was provided with a copy of the game for review purposes.
JEFFREY DAVID BROOKS · May 06, 2023 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - For a game made in three years (most of that time as a completely remote team), the scale and ambition of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is most impressive. The feeling that Respawn is pushing the boundaries of the Unreal Engine past its breaking point is prevalent and demonstrable in the numerous performance issues and bugs, so you might want to wait to pick this up until many of the fixable issues have been addressed.
Bryn Gelbart · May 04, 2023 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Star Wars Jedi: Survivor shows that Star Wars games are far from dead. Somehow, Electronic Arts has released one of the deepest AAA single-player action games in years. Judging by the quality of the second part, the next game in the series has every chance of becoming the best game in the history of a galaxy far, far away.
