- It is no secret that Hades is a fantastic game, people raved about it quite rightly, and it being on mobile is fantastic in theory. Of course, you will need a Netflix subscription, an iPhone, and ideally a controller to deal with the touchscreen issues I had. If you are in this minority of mobile consumers, then you will have a fantastic time, but it is hard to feel that Supergiant could have executed this port in a much more successful manner by including an Android version and spending a lot more time on the touchscreen implementation.
Shaun Walton · Mar 27, 2024 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Hades on iOS is incredible. While it has two things I’d love to see fixed in updates, I have no hesitation in recommending it for anyone with a Netflix subscription. The wait for Hades on mobile has been long, but Supergiant Games delivered an excellent version of one of the best games in years with no compromises on iOS here.
Mikhail Madnani · Mar 20, 2024 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Sure, Hades is not quite perfect. If you hate roguelikes, the narrative won't be enough to sway you, and personally, I’m not a huge fan of games that make you wait for waves of enemies to spawn in, but it's damn close. I’ve grown wary of difficult games and roguelikes as I’ve got older, but Hades manages to ensure you feel like you’re always making progress, be that narratively or mechanically.
Andrew Logue · Aug 23, 2021 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Hades is somewhat of a masterpiece in its respective genre. Not only is the game filled with lore, the fluid gameplay mechanics and the fact that casual players can still make some progress is something that allows a broad audience to enjoy this title. Even though the game still has a lot of RNG embedded in its core, the game never feels unfair, unlike in titles such as The Binding of Isaac.
Ibuki · Aug 22, 2021 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - The story, the combat system, the art style, the possibilities, the twists and also the technical performance makes Hades one of the best roguelite games released so far. It is a game that should not be missed, no matter your genre preferences.
Cosmin Vasile · Aug 22, 2021 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Based on all the praise and awards Hades has received over the past year, the bar was set pretty high, some might say as high as Mount Olympus (I had to include one bad pun, sorry). I’ve tried to set this aside as I played the game and write this review, but it’s been difficult. Hades is a great game, and I feel safe saying that it’s in the upper echelon of roguelike/lite games, but in the end, I think there are a handful of issues that hold it back from being immortal (sorry, one more).
Jake Plant · Aug 20, 2021 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - Hades is a fantastic game and is really worth all the acclaim and praise its received thus far. The game's amazing ability to both engage and challenge you is worthy of applaud and the now that the game is available on all platforms many more players will be able to enjoy this spectacular title.
Abdul Saad · Aug 19, 2021 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Hades remains an absolute must-play modern masterpiece on the Xbox Series X. I’m thrilled to see new ports bring it to a new audience. With a wonderful story, memorable characters, some of the best voice acting around, a stunning soundtrack, variety that keeps things fresh even after dozens of runs, incredibly tight gameplay, and game design, which will allow even those who don’t usually care for roguelites to engage with it, this is a game that every player should try.
Andrew Thornton · Aug 16, 2021 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Hades is a must play, and even for those who despise them, this could well be the game that changes your mind. It is more accessible, and offers a better sense of constant progression, than nearly any other game in the genre. Essentially, Hades is really bloody good.
Matt Lorrigan · Aug 16, 2021 Reviewed on PS5, PS4Read full review - Hades has perfected several elements of the rogue-like genre and does a banging job on the rest. It is, by far, the best game of its type that I’ve played. But don’t let the words “rogue-like” scare you off – it is made in such a way that it is appealing to both fans and non-fans of the genre alike.
