  • Zorro The Chronicles is a great game for kids and those new to video games, but anyone who is a bit more experienced will surely pick many other games before this one.

  • With this context in mind, Zorro The Chronicles does a lot of what it sets out to achieve. It’s not the deepest or most complex game you’ll ever play, but neither is it designed to be. It’s a beginner game for kids to feel more immersed in the world of a TV show. It’s still a bit on the pricey side for what it is, but it does a decent job of introducing action gaming to children who will graduate to more involved titles.

  • There are a couple of things that I don’t like about this game though. Mostly camera angles. When you are moving around the camera will go wherever you want it to as you spin the right joystick around. The main problem I have is that there is no adjustment available to the sensitivity of the camera. Depending on how you look it spins very quickly and I got very easily motion sick. I had to stop playing after only a couple of hours. No game is worth getting sick over.

  • Zorro: The Chronicles has just enough under its basic presentation to be a fun little experience if you keep in mind whom the game was made for. Parents looking for a bloodless action game to play with their children now have an option, and ultimately, it's not a bad game to pick if you can get past the camera issues and lack of challenge or level variety. If nothing else, Zorro: The Chronicles is a game worth a look in that light, and is well worth your time in the right circumstances.

  • All in all, then, Zorro The Chronicles is hard to recommend. There are few, if any, redeeming features here, and anything that’s partially enjoyable – like the simple combat with its humorous finishing animations – is ruined by a dreadful camera. There are far better family-friendly adventure games out there and so, even if you or your kids have a love for Zorro, you should spend your money elsewhere.

  • I wish this game felt better to play; I wanted it to succeed. Unfortunately, there aren’t many people I can recommend Zorro The Chronicles to. If your child is a fan of the show, the game is worth picking up, but if you’re a more general fan of the Zorro franchise, it’s worth waiting for another outing – Zorro always rides again.

  • As such Zorro The Chronicles doesn't quite hit the mark. It's a game made for children, which is why having a more simplistic edge may be useful, but the overall level of quality is perhaps not there. Although it gets the tone right, and things like its environmental takedowns are bound to cause a laugh for fans of the show, the overall game isn't quite as enjoyable as it could be.

  • I was pleasantly surprised with how competent Zorro The Chronicles ended up being. It uses elements from both old-school Assassin’s Creed and Sniper Elite in an easy and forgiving environment, making this game the perfect gateway title for kids to learn how to deal with a stealth game. I never thought I’d play a Zorro game in 2022, let alone one as good as this one. Goes to show how neat licensed titles can be every now and then, and how far a developer can go with a title in spite of how little of a budget they’re given.

  • Zorro: The Chronicles is a below-average game made worse by a litany of bugs. From an unruly camera to the ease with which you can get stuck in the environment, it tests the player's willingness to stick with it.

  • Bland, repetitive, and offering zero challenge, Zorro The Chronicles isn’t aiming to be the next must-play title. What it does instead is gives children an entry point into other titles of the genre, so could be one to try if you have little ones desperate to play something new.
