- Zombie Driver is bad. In almost every conceivable way. It never really hits the mark on anything it attempts, leaving the player with a frustrating mess of interchangeable missions, a map that’s a chore to navigate, sluggish controls, and a story that you’ll forget before you hit the X button to close the software. You’d probably have more fun in a real zombie apocalypse.
Rhett Waselenchuk · Aug 21, 2019 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Zombie Driver: Immortal Edition on Switch provides simple fun that can get a little repetitive if played for too long, yet you’ll want return to it time and time again. Killing zombies and completing missions to unlock new vehicles and earn the cash needed to purchase upgrades is addictive. And both Blood Race and Slaughter modes provide yet more ways to be entertained. The game’s camera could definitely be improved, but only the most picky of gamers will find it really off-putting.
Richard Seagrave · Aug 12, 2019 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Zombie Driver is a simple game. The plot is a fairly standard zombie apocalypse story. The driving is familiar enough, but combined with the gore it makes for an addictively murderous experience. Zombie Driver is everything you’d expect from a game called Zombie Driver – zombies and driving and guts splattered all over your screen. Its great.
Kirstie Summers · Aug 06, 2019 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - The controls are responsive, and the sound of running your tires over yet another pile of undead seldom fails to provide a grisly satisfaction. Zombie Driver HD does its job well enough for you to overlook its lesser aspects; after all, it understands what makes the concept so appealing to begin with.
Leif Johnson · Oct 27, 2012 Reviewed on X360Read full review - ...the fun factor varies wildly. The story mode is mostly a snooze
Chuck Osborn · Oct 17, 2012 Reviewed on X360 - Zombie Driver: Immortal Edition is an amusing distraction that is elevated thanks to the generous amounts of unlockable content. The main campaign will never get anyone emotionally invested, but then why would anyone hope to care about characters in something titled Zombie Driver? The developers knew exactly who their audience is. This is pure zombie schlock for people who are fans of the Splatterhouse games. An unapologetically gory, arcade-like experience.
Albert Lichi · Dec 23, 2019 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Zombie Driver is a tour de force of vehicular undead destruction, proving that when Mad Max meets The Walking Dead only creative killing can occur.
Aaron Potter · Jul 25, 2019 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - That said, you will have a good time getting through them, and although it might be a good few months or a year down the line, you’re likely to come back for another full play through. With this in mind, Zombie Driver HD’s relatively low price point and reasonable replay value make it easy to recommend, so long as you aren’t expecting something of full retail quality.
Spanner Spencer · Oct 30, 2012 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Scrappy design and presentation mean that it's hard to give Zombie Driver a more enthusiastic thumbs up - but as a particularly goofy example of the sort of guilty gaming pleasure that rarely gets a look-in amongst the autumn blockbusters, it's impossible to dislike.
Dan Whitehead · Oct 23, 2012 Reviewed on X360Read full review - The technical improvements are great and help to make this the definitive console version. Avoiding any frame drops with loads of zombies on screen even in handheld mode is a real achievement. If you like racing games or zombies, this is a great title to have in your library.
