- Every setback and every unexpected revelation will draw you further into Zero Time Dilemma‘s joyously convoluted world and make you all the more doggedly determined to uncover the truth. And who knows, one day you could be as big a time criminal as Marty McFly.
Chris Mc · Sep 07, 2017 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Zero Time Dilemma is a nice bow on top of the Zero Escape trilogy, and one that I think many will enjoy if they liked the previous games. It can get a bit complicated both in puzzles and in story, but the mystery and discovery that is involved is what really brings the player back to the game. This one has it in spades. There’s a few choice decisions here and there that made me scratch my head, but those were few and far between, and never took away from the overall experience.
Drew Leachman · Aug 24, 2017 Reviewed on PS4, XB1Read full review - While it’s arguably the weakest in the trilogy, Zero Time Dilemma is still a must for fans that need to know what’ll happen at the end of Junpei and Akane’s journey, and is still a great game in its own right. It doesn’t quite earn all of its story twists (and that’s saying a lot as someone who was fine with Sigma’s reveal in VLR), but it features enough of a payoff that make both Virtue’s Last Reward and 999 feel more meaningful in retrospect.
Tyler Treese · Aug 18, 2017 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Zero Time Dilemma is a masterpiece that provides the perfect closure for one of, if not, the best video game trilogies I've played. With a story that intrigues and gameplay that challenges, this game will give your brain a workout whilst ingraining itself upon your memory as something you will remember long after it has gone - but please make sure you play the others to fully appreciate this game!
Charlie Large · Jul 07, 2016 Reviewed on VitaRead full review - Zero Time Dilemma is an amazing game of equivalent overall caliber to its predecessors, and its ridiculous, complicated take on scientific theories and horror thrillers is a must-witness.
Gil Almogi · Jul 06, 2016 Reviewed on VitaRead full review - It's a complex narrative built around a chaotic, intriguing structure. It may stumble too many times with its dialogue, fail to find much substance in its characters, and lack any impressive presentation. But it uses that fragmented structure to keep you guessing, and engaged, right up to its numerous depressing, hopeful, gruesome endings.
Mike Mahardy · Jul 01, 2016 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - My time with Zero Time Dilemma was one of great pleasure and anguish, mainly because I knew I was saying goodbye to one of my favorite series. This final chapter brings the beloved Zero Escape trilogy to a gratifying end, featuring beautiful character moments, elaborate puzzles, and a mind-bending plot.
Michael Koczwara · Jun 29, 2016 Reviewed on 3DS, VitaRead full review - In some ways, that disappointed me. I was first drawn to the Zero Escape games because of their inventive puzzle design, something that suffers in Zero Time Dilemma. But I've loved following these characters the most over the past six years, and this concluding chapter serves them well. Zero Time Dilemma, above all else, is a finale that should please anyone looking for a great story — even if the gameplay gets lost in the background as a result.
Allegra Frank · Jun 29, 2016 Reviewed onRead full review - Its narrative and puzzles can occasionally be long-winded and a bit too time consuming, but it still stands out as one of the more gripping narrative driven games we’ve played. Just be aware: before the moment of final escape, there will be blood and tears.
T.J. Denzer · Jun 29, 2016 Reviewed on 3DSRead full review - Fans of Zero Escape, you're in the right timeline: the one where the series gets the spectacular ending it deserves. Violent, tense, and thought-provoking, this is a game that will keep you up for days while you finish it, than days more while you process what you just saw. If you haven't picked it up yet, you owe it to yourself to do so now.
