Critic Reviews
- No complaints at all. Graphics, storyline, quests and controls have been enhanced. Likewise, Global PvP quests have been added to make the game more social. In other words, a must-have of this genre.
Manu Galvez · Mar 19, 2014 Reviewed on - Fans of previous Zenonia titles and of JRPGs will enjoy the charming NPCs and delightful creatures in this not-free game.
Meg Stivison · Jan 24, 2013 Reviewed on AndRead full review - For absolutely stunning artwork, a quest that begs you to come back for more, and excellent controls, Zenonia 5 is the RPG of choice– that is, if the freemium model doesn’t turn you off. There’s enough to do here to keep you busy, and if you clear this one you can always go back and play the first four– that is, if you haven’t already.
Brittany Vincent · Jan 23, 2013 Reviewed on iOS - Ignoring the bizarre internet quirks and slightly disappointing fifth consecutive series of minor missteps, Zenonia 5 easily does the series proud. GAMEVIL’s still got a good handle on one of the top action RPGs in the App Store, and it doesn’t look like they’re going to give that up any time soon.
Rob Rich · Jan 10, 2013 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - I highly recommend Zenonia 5. The main quest is meaty enough to keep you engaged for many hours (especially if you’re not purchasing Zen equipment off the bat) and even more if you jump into the other modes of play. This is one of the best RPGs I’ve played on a mobile (read iOS/Android) platform to this date.
Brian Anthony Thornton · Dec 10, 2012 Reviewed on iOS, AndRead full review - Definitely not for those with eyesight problems. Really whether or not you'll enjoy the latest in the Zenonia series is how you enjoyed the previous games or the idea of grind-heavy RPGs. Personally, it's not a mechanic I enjoy, but there are plenty that do. The gameplay here will certainly satisfy them. Those that are more interested in a stream-lined RPG experience should look elsewhere.
Dave Flodine · Jan 22, 2013 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - While there's certainly no lack of things to do in Zenonia 5, the formula is looking a little tired now. The graphics have incrementally improved with each sequel, but the gameplay has remained in stasis.
