- Whether or not you enjoy puzzle adventure games, Yuppie Psycho: Executive Edition is worth a try for its spooky ambiance, laugh-out-loud humor, and amazing plot. It might have poor gameplay in some sections, but that poor gameplay is overwhelmingly outnumbered by great moments. Add in the many fun, visually distinct characters to meet, and there are very few reasons to skip Yuppie Psycho. This game will have you charmed from the first scene all the way to one of the seven endings.
Jackson Lustberg · Mar 15, 2023 Reviewed on PCRead full review - It’s not a true horror game in the traditional sense of the genre, but it’s still a worthy addition for those who love psychological thrillers that stick with you and make you think. Yuppie Psycho Executive Edition is an absolute no-brainer — whether you get it on Steam or on the Switch, you absolutely must get it. Become the newest hire of Sintracorp today!
Heather Johnson Yu · Nov 09, 2020 Reviewed onRead full review - Balanced firmly between satisfying puzzles, survival horror gameplay, and an amusing story that satirizes the grind of corporate life, the odd but thoroughly engaging Yuppie Psycho has all the makings of a cult classic.
Kevin Lynn · Oct 14, 2019 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Horror games need a little inconvenience to survive. If you’re not stressed out and pushed into a corner, you’re not able to get quite scared or tense enough for the full experience. To that end, this game’s more egregious mechanics are an acceptable sacrifice. The only downer for me was when that extra tension regressed into something more like annoyance. I don’t mind being sacred, I’m less into being frustrated. Don’t get me wrong, my times with this game were a spooky delight overall.
James Paley · May 11, 2019 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Yuppie Psycho really surprised me with an engaging story and great gameplay mechanics. The experience does occasionally stumble, especially with some of the enemy encounters, but these are very brief sections and not exactly bad in any sense of the word. This is highly recommended for horror fans and people looking for something just a bit different.
Kyle Nicol · May 01, 2019 Reviewed on PCRead full review - It improves on The Count Lucanor in most ways (like the ability to move faster), and that’s saying something since I’d happily recommend that too. Baroque Decay is a studio worth paying attention to, it seems, and this unique, clever, and character-filled twist on survival horror is an excellent reason to start.
Tim McDonald · Apr 27, 2019 Reviewed on PCRead full review - It’s not the greatest playing horror game, and some aspects feel extremely dated. However, Yuppie Psycho is undeniably worth playing for anyone that is looking for something weird and wants art to actually have something to say.
Tyler Treese · Apr 25, 2019 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Yuppie Psycho is one of the few survival horror games to keep me on the edge of my seat. Though occasionally bizarre and tonally strange, it has the all the makings of a great adventure. The puzzles are engaging, the story is gripping, and the horror kept me coming back for more.
Ron Welch · Apr 25, 2019 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Yuppie Psycho may not look that scary on the outside, but there’s a lot more lurking beneath its charming aesthetics. An amazing story, strong writing and an eerie atmosphere make this a creepy comedic gem that’s rich in personality. It’s not all smooth sailing, but this surreal nightmarish odyssey has enough smart scares to make it work.
Callum Williams · Apr 25, 2019 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Yuppie Psycho is well made, nicely themed, and creates a neat and twisted interpretation of office life. Despite that, the core of the story feels somewhat shallow, and the shocks are unsettling rather than thought-provoking.
