- Folks, the new WWE 2K23 is such a massive yearly game enterprise that has brought the goods yet again for 2023. This is a great game franchise and Visual Concepts and 2K Sports have delivered. I hate to admit that even though I played the PC version, my game pad expertise wasn't up to par to begin with and I struggled to perform all of the many required finishes and special moves.

The amount of content in this package seems like a statement – 2K may have slipped, but they’re not going anywhere. For instance, the MyRise mode is given another story to enjoy – a first for the series. John Cena is also the focal point of this year’s showcase. It’s a rundown of every historical event of his career, from debuting on Smackdown to finally winning the big one.
FerniWrites · Apr 13, 2023 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - All in all, I am really encouraged by this year’s game. They’ve made some significant improvements on some important legacy issues that have held the game back for way too long. There is a ton to do here and a lot of different ways to experience the core gameplay. Showcase remains a highlight and the expansion of MyRise continues to flesh out the series as a single-player experience.
Ryan · Mar 28, 2023 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - WWE 2K23 is worth the pickup for any hardcore or casual fan of the wrestling franchise. Is it something that you’ll play for weeks on end? Maybe for about a month or two sure. Burnout is definitely there if you don’t let your imagination flow. WWE 2K23 is one giant wrestling sandbox waiting for you to jump in. You won’t be disappointed in what you get yourself into.
Varnell Harris · Mar 25, 2023 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Nothing is missing. Factor in a generous roster of 200-odd Superstars and Legends that covers a huge chunk of both the WWE's modern-day and its past glories, in a game that's impeccably presented and put together, and you have the makings of something truly excellent, even if it's somewhat iterative rather than revolutionary.
Richard Walker · Mar 22, 2023 Reviewed on PS5, PS4Read full review - When all is said and done, WWE 2K23 is an incredibly feature-rich, highly customisable, and thoroughly enjoyable time for fans and non-fans alike. With the addition of the WarGames match type, easy-to-grasp fight mechanics, a hefty roster featuring stars from multiple generations and eras, and a mode catering to every type of player out there – including the card-battling MyFaction with newly added online functionality, WWE 2K23 truly feels like a complete package.
Community Guest Writer · Mar 22, 2023 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - WWE 2K22 set the foundation and WWE 2K23 pushes the series forward with another great wrestling game. My Rise is fantastic, War Games is a ton of fun, GM Mode has been updated, and created wrestlers look better than ever.
Nathan Carter · Mar 22, 2023 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Building on the reasonably solid gameplay foundation of WWE 2K22, WWE 2K23 manages to finally find a comfortable spot. It is, at its core, the same general game that we get year after year. It kind of sucks that we have to keep paying for small improvements. However, small improvements got us here, and here is a pretty decent place to be.
Zoey Handley · Mar 21, 2023 Reviewed on PCRead full review - In its current state, WWE 2K23 is an excellent wrestling game with tons of content, but one that is let down by its online servers.
Mikhail Madnani · Mar 21, 2023 Reviewed on PCRead full review - WWE 2K23 feels like a great experience, no matter your background with the genre. There are tons of modes, and a new player would likely be intimidated despite the numerous tutorials that pop up as you try everything new. Considering the sheer size of the roster and the numerous historical callbacks on offer, I'd say that this is one of the most complete wrestling games ever offered by House McMahon, and I'm hopeful that this continues to expand into the future with new modes and more experimental attempts to wring every drop of entertainment out of WWE.
