- With all that praise given I should note that although a lot of work has been put in to be as accessible to as wide a range of players as possible, WRC is ultimately an experience for rally fans, as opposed to general racing fans. Most of the play and designs reflects real-life rally aspects that might seem a bit foreign to newcomers, like a navigator in the passenger seat reading directions, or being penalized for going even slightly off-road. Those looking at jumping in should be aware that this isn’t just like every other racing game out there. With this return to the world of rally racing, Codemasters has delivered something special with EA Sports WRC. It’s rock-solid and jam-packed, and I’d expect any gearhead to get lost in it for hours. Rally fans rejoice!

If you’re the sort of hardcore WRC fan who watches events all year long and loves the idea of micromanaging your own rallying team, you’ve possibly found your dream game.

Codemasters has created an excellent entry in its rally racing library, and its first official World Rally Championship game is an accessible but still challenging experience that is all about mastery. It’s strong title in its own right, with scope to build into a fantastic ongoing series.

Alcune sbavature funzionali e una realizzazione tecnica non sempre brillante gli precludono le vette dell’eccellenza, ma resta un’esperienza che i fan delle corse su sterrato ameranno alla follia, e magari potrebbe spingere qualche novizio ad approcciare questo magnifico sport. If it's a no-holds-barred rally racing challenge you seek, then EA Sports WRC will more than scratch that itch.

Yes, this game offers that same sentiment to a degree, but it feels like there was more of a focus on making a complete game with a love letter to the history of the WRC rather than just making a difficult racing game.
