Νικολας Μαρκογλου · Oct 16, 2024 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Wild Bastards is a brilliant example of an experience which is more than the sum of its parts. This roguelike FPS hits the mark, and its irresistible charm will leave a lasting impression.
Darren Edwards · Oct 08, 2024 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Wild Bastards has a unique take on the roguelike FPS genre that prioritizes strategy. The wacky space cowboy theme is interesting and the visuals are fantastic, but the game is lacking with its story, sound and it struggles a bit with repetitiveness.
Ahnaf Tajwar · Sep 25, 2024 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Wild Bastards is a very vibrant, very ambitious game that goes out of its way to add new gameplay mechanics and playable characters. But while that effort is certainly commendable, there's no denying that many of those elements just don't hit as hard as they should. There's still plenty of room for fans to have a good time with Wild Bastards, but that time won't be free of moments of confusion, frustration, and a little boredom.
Cameron Swan · Sep 25, 2024 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Wild Bastards is a solid sequel with a lot of interesting systems. Those systems mainly interact in the static of the 2D screens, and the drama of the real time combat is less engaging than its predecessor. I do love being a flaming skeleton that shoots fireballs from his fingertips though.
AJ Small · Sep 22, 2024 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - In the end, Wild Bastards doesn't hit the high bar established by Void Bastards five years ago. While it's more ambitious in terms of mechanics and interlocking systems, it's not quite as fun or immersive. Still, it has a lot going for it, including a fascinating premise, 13 unique playable characters, excellent moment-to-moment action, and outstanding production design. With a better story and more nuanced strategic and relationship-building gameplay, it would join its predecessor as a GOTY contender.
Evan Norris · Sep 18, 2024 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - A charming comic book aesthetic and a tight, satisfying gameplay loop make Wild Bastards a worthwhile FPS roguelike, provided you can bear its gratingly chatty cast and often underwhelming upgrades.
Lowell Bell · Sep 15, 2024 Reviewed on PCRead full review - So my favourite things in Wild Bastards were the 13 playable characters and their unique designs and quirky personalities. But sadly, Wild Basterds doesn't quite reach the heights Void Bastards did. The shoot-out sections were okay, but the less than stellar turn-based sections just weren't a great inclusion or idea in my opinion... If you want a fantastic rouge-like gem, go play Void Bastards instead; it's priced the same; enjoy it hell of a lot more than this!
Leigh Wynne · Sep 14, 2024 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - Spiritual sequel to Void Bastards, Wild Bastards changes up the formula but isn't necessarily the better for it. Its board game-like maps introduce some strategy, but its basic first-person shooter Showdowns disappoint, as do some of its other underdeveloped elements.
Richard Seagrave · Sep 13, 2024 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - With an explosive first impression that simmers down from repetition, Wild Bastards presents a roguelite with plenty of mechanics to wrap your head around, a sharply written cast of characters and an impressive art style.

About the game
Trailers & Screenshots:
From the veteran team behind Void Bastards and Card Hunter, Wild Bastards has you travel from planet to planet to recruit, manage and gun sling with a team of 13 outlaws, each of whom has their own weaponry, special power, and growth tree. On planets, you’ll wrangle loot and start showdowns that are then played out in intense, bite-sized shootouts.
The Wild Bastards were the most deadly gang in the galaxy until a posse from the puritanical magnate Jebediah Chaste eliminated one outlaw after another. Faced with their own mortality, the two remaining members have teamed up with the Drifter, a mysterious sentient spacecraft, to find and resurrect the dead gang members as they flee to the mythical Homestead.
