Critic Reviews
- The graphics are excellent and so is the gameplay. This game's idea might not be the most original but it's presented in a creative way and its popularity is obviously related to its quality as a game. Entertaining, challenging and fun, yes; but also incredibly addictive and smooth as its best. The one thing we would change is to be able to pinch in and out instead of using the side bar.
Anna Grace · May 27, 2014 Reviewed on iOS - It’s an intense reboot, with a good deal variation that keeps it fresh. There is a lot of the same, and this might be a barrier for some, but the game is a nice one all the same.
Tre Lawrence · Oct 17, 2013 Reviewed on And - A sobering reminder of the perils of free-to-play, Where’s My Water? 2 is quite evidently a business model first and a game second.
Edge Staff · Sep 18, 2013 Reviewed on iOS - Where's My Water? 2 definitely needs a few improvements if it wants to reach the quality of its predecessors, most notably a strong pull-back on its aggressive IAPs. But despite the attempt at walling off its own players, there are a ton of intriguing concepts and mini-games that expand upon the Where's My Water? formula that fans will enjoy.
Chris Carter · Sep 17, 2013 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Disney has made a number of admirable changes to Where’s My Water? 2, but these are overshadowed by the money-grubbing nature of its energy meter and pay-to-play focus. What was once a relaxing, refreshing change of pace in the App Store is now just another poorly implemented freemium model. It will take a lot of baths to get this stench off Swampy.
Jillian Werner · Sep 16, 2013 Reviewed on iOS, AndRead full review - The free-to-play model isn’t ideal, but it’s less heinous than the one in Candy Crush Saga, where you can’t reasonably progress without buying power-ups. The game is free, and the levels are well constructed and enjoyable to play. So could the game be better? Definitely. Should you download it anyway? Yes, you should.
Chris Reed · Sep 13, 2013 Reviewed on iOS - No. Don't do it. Don't give in. Don't support this. Disney, fix the energy system right now. Literally, right now. Why go and ruin such a great series with this? There's promise here, ruined by the fact that the game doesn't want me to play it.
Carter Dotson · Sep 12, 2013 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Where's My Water? 2 is a solid addition to an ever expanding franchise, and although I can still do without its in-app pay scheme, it's a game that's worth checking out.
Greg Srisavasdi · Sep 12, 2013 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - It's games like Where's My Water? 2 which give the free-to-play model a bad reputation. One of the most cynical games I have ever played.
James Gilmour · Sep 13, 2013 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - A decent enough puzzling sequel that's ruined by an overbearing and unpleasant payment system, Where's My Water? 2 is a soggy mess
