Mezbah Turzo · Jun 22, 2025 Reviewed on PCRead full review- The tech tree is pretty addictive, and I like the way tech can spread across borders, but there aren’t enough far-ranging branches that cut you off from others. I saw the same things a lot after multiple playthroughs.
Jaina Hill · Nov 16, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Victoria 3 is a game that has captivated me now for weeks. I love the level of granular detail Paradox Games allow me to dive into, and Victoria 3 has this in droves. But my favorite parts of Paradox Games are the alternate history playthroughs.
Joseph Bradford · Oct 29, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Victoria 3 is the kind of game that sucks me in and doesn't let me go, whether I'm trying to turn Hawaii into an anarcho-communist utopia or make Afghanistan the centerpiece of the global economy by monopolizing the opium trade. The scope and depth of its simulation is remarkable.
Leana Hafer · Oct 25, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - All in all, Victoria 3 does a brilliant job of bringing this era of global politics alive. Its brilliant law systems create a truly enigmatic power struggle that will keep us playing for many hours to come. While there is a lack of flavour for some of the smaller nations and a handful of other problems that stop Victoria 3 being as good as it could be, there’s a vast myriad of strategies available to players, and many ways to plot out a successful campaign.
Robert Gammon-Ross · Oct 24, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Victoria 3 is, without a doubt, grand in scale and scope, and it's downright gorgeous, too. Sadly, the countless mechanics mean that there are too many moving parts, which lead to more questions than answers. The automation and streamlining of battle is, likewise, a baffling change.
Jason Rodriguez · Oct 24, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Victoria 3 is weak on the international stage, but if your fantasy is to take control of a nation and set your own goals, build your own society and play around with complex, interlocking systems, it will fulfill that brilliantly. The internal life of your nation is rich, and for much of the game that's where your focus will be—up to your neck in domestic politics and squabbling pops.
Jonathan Bolding · Oct 24, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - It is gorgeous, impressive, and absolutely worth the time it takes to learn. Now onto my fourth playthrough. The World Welsh Order will rise, mark my words.
Ryan Thomas Bamsey · Oct 24, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Victoria 3 is very clearly not for everyone. It’s a lot of all menu navigation and long-term planning that sometimes amounts to watching bars progress on-screen. But for those that respond to that type of gameplay loop, Victoria 3 will provide countless hours of megalomaniac entertainment.
Anthony Marzano · Oct 24, 2022 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Victoria 3 is a video game that existed as a hope and a meme for so long that it’s hard for any real-world product to satisfy every fan. But the game as it stands on launch, with its focus on pops, its economic model, and its diplomatic plays concept, should satisfy most newcomers and long-term fans.
