- Vandals is a graffiti-themed strategy puzzle game similar to Hitman GO, except we play as street artists in various cities and time periods, trying to spray buildings without being caught by the police.
Pete McD · Mar 30, 2022 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - For being a port from the mobile game sphere, Vandals is a solid pickup. It’s only $3.99 USD on the E-Shop, and with the amount of content on tap, the game is well worth the price of admission. The slight control issues and some occasional translation issues are a minor complaint, but not enough to take much away from the whole experience. If you have a slight creative itch to scratch and feel like busting your brain in the process, Vandals will be a solid choice.
Kevin Chapman · May 10, 2019 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - This game is a port from the mobile device market and brought to the Switch with a decent amount of content and plenty of challenges to keep you busy for a good amount of time. While adding an expanded set of controls to use with your TV is a great idea, I found that it was more frustrating than fun. That aside, Vandals is fun and worth the $3.99 price tag.
James Colozzi · May 01, 2019 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - With challenging levels that demand you plan every single move, Vandals is an expertly crafted puzzle experience that will test your urban art skills. Once you execute a master plan and get away with all three stars in a level, you'll be hooked.
Jeremy · Apr 21, 2018 Reviewed onRead full review - Vandals is a very interesting project with a lot of passion in it. At the same time it’s very whimsical and slightly cute. (Mostly it’s the stupidity of the police that make it adorable!) It’s clear that this is a topic that the creators hold dear to themselves. For gamers interested in graffiti-art, it must be almost perfect. There are a lot of areas where it can be improved. Most notably motivation for players or giving each city something unique. But it’s a fun game, and I enjoyed playing it. At least now I can smash the system from the comfort of my desk, and isn’t that just the dream?
Dougie K Powell · Apr 17, 2018 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Whatever you feel about graffiti in real life, this stealth-based puzzler is a ton of fun and is well worth having on your device for the spare moments in your day. Just try and steer away from drawing anything phallic in public.
Emily Sowden · Apr 16, 2018 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - The counterpoint is that if you haven't played the Go games or enjoyed Deus Ex Go, you'll likely have a good time with this one. Such is the nature of these kinds of games that hew closely to their source material. And it's certainly a credit to Vandals that it feels just like the "real" thing while also honestly having its own catches. I just can't get over the fact that I feel like I've played this before. It's not bad, just that maybe the concept needs to wait a few years before it feels fresh again.
Carter Dotson · Apr 16, 2018 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Vandals is definitely a new puzzle favorite of mine. I love these types of games, and Vandals is challenging while looking and sounding amazing. Controls are simple, and you can play the game in whatever position is most comfortable for you. I just hope to see faster menu and scene transitions, because it does get annoying after a while. Still, Vandals is an excellent turn-based stealth puzzler that encourages you to get a little artsy.
Christine Chan · Apr 14, 2018 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Overall, Vandals is fairly enjoyable. While I did wish the controls were better, I did like the puzzles a whole lot. The puzzles make it fun to constantly sneak back and forth, and inch closer to the end of each stage effectively. The educational side felt like somewhat of a throwaway, mostly because it wasn't part of the main game. Their solution, making your own art, loses its charm after the first world. With some tweaking, Vandals could have been excellent, but for now it feels unfocused.
Daan Koopman · Apr 27, 2019 Reviewed on SwitchRead full review - With perfectly crafted levels and an awesome electronic soundtrack, Vandals proves to be a great entry into the turn-based stealth genre. In many ways, it captures the sensation of what painting at night feels like.
