- Until Dawn’s new lick of paint and layer of varnish make it undoubtedly shine for the current generation of gamers who missed this gem nearly a decade ago. The original, however, stands just as tall on its own. Because of this, the remastered version will only cater to an audience that didn’t own the original when it came out or gamers who want to play a dedicated next-gen version of the game. Even so, Until Dawn is a great game through and through, even with a few technical issues popping up here and there. If you don’t own the 2015 version yet and don’t mind paying the equivalent of a triple-A release, however, then we can easily recommend getting the new and improved version, and you won’t be disappointed. If you already own the PS4 version, it’s just as much fun playing through the original again.

Influencing the story through butterfly effects and seeing the consequences is horrific. The game’s improved graphics really drive home the horror even if you know what is coming. But for veterans, some aspects of the game became worse with time. There’s not enough to bring you back if you already played the original, but it’s a good choice to recommend to newcomers.

It's as fun and thrilling as it was in 2015. However, while the remake improves upon the original in some ways, the overall improvement isn't vast enough to the point where this version is a must for those who've played through the game once before.

Some might say this is the progenitor of interactive cinema, at least in terms of commercial success. While not the perfect remaster, Until Dawn has made the leap to the modern era of presentation without falling to its death. Just a few scrapes and bruises.

É difícil encontrar uma justificativa para a recriação de um jogo tão recente. Mais ainda quando a versão original é tão boa quanto, senão melhor (em alguns quesitos), do que o novo jogo. Until Dawn é bom e vale a pena ser jogado, só não vale o investimento do preço cheio, quando a edição clássica ainda é competente.
