For a game that blends together so many mechanics from different genres, Undead Horde never feels much like an awkward patchwork. It does some things really well — like the undead army strategic combat — and the less successful elements don’t seriously detract from the experience. Undead Horde has a strong enough gameplay loop that it’s worth checking out, especially for players who didn’t discover it on PC or last gen consoles.

The art style is amazing, so it is unfortunate it has to be ruined by mediocre gameplay. I’d say if you are looking for a game like Undead Horde, the best bet is saving up for the Diablo 3: Eternal Collection on Nintendo Switch.

The amount of content on offer, despite its tendency of becoming slightly repetitive from time to time, is quite simply commendable. Bottom Line? Whilst far from Diablo’s standards, this adventure is bound to keep you hooked and entertained for hours on end.
