- I appreciate Turbo's demand for precision, of emphasizing fundamental racing principles like the traction of your wheels and the precision of your inputs. And while I definitely got into that addictive headspace where I was chasing better times, even the endless variety of tracks doesn't offer the depth I was looking for.
Matthew Kato · Apr 01, 2016 Reviewed on PS4 - In addition to Trackmania Turbo's single-player campaign, you can enjoy a race variation where two players work in unison to control one car. There's also local multiplayer racing and action-packed online multiplayer modes, including one where 100 players race ghost cars against each other. Add the deep track creator to the surrealistic mix, and the result is a fantastic racing game that will keep players coming back for short doses of fun-filled mayhem!
Jeb Haught · Mar 30, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Trackmania Turbo really isn’t much different than the rest of the series. It looks better and offers console players a chance to get in on the action, something not seen since the Wii version, but is largely the same game it’s always been. For racers who live for direct competition, the time trial focus of TM might be too off-putting. Otherwise, this is simply one of the most entertaining arcade racers on the market for both experienced and more casual gamers.
Jason D'Aprile · Mar 28, 2016 Reviewed on PC, PS4, XB1Read full review - Considering its budget pricing, there’s a heck of a lot to love about Trackmania Turbo. As I said earlier it really is an acquired taste, for that masochistic lot that get a kick out of shaving tenths of seconds off theirs and other people’s time, Nadeo’s latest is a winner. It's the sort of thing I find myself frantically throwing in the last few minutes of my lunch break, desperate to catch a quick session or smash a new record.
Joffy S · Mar 26, 2016 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Long time veterans will have a few minor gripes with TrackMania Turbo, but it’s the perfect experience for those new to the series. There’s 200 great tracks to play in single player, and after players have mastered those they’ll be ready to play tracks created by users online. It helps that Turbo is by far the most stylish entry in the series yet, making it a really impressive offering for console gamers.
Tyler Treese · Mar 25, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - Racing games are not nearly as prevalent as they used to be, and arcade racers even more so. Trackmania Turbo scratches an itch I had forgotten I had, taking me back to the days of massive arcade cabinets and split second failures. The progression is addictive, and the wacky track designs kept me coming back. This is one racing game I think everyone should take for a test drive.
Ken McKown · Mar 24, 2016 Reviewed on XB1Read full review - A brilliant and beautiful stunt driving masterclass, Trackmania Turbo is fast, frenetic, fun, and only occasionally frustrating. If this generously proportioned and highly engaging arcade racer gets its talons into you the way it did me, it’ll have you compulsively chasing ghosts for ages.
Luke Reilly · Mar 24, 2016 Reviewed on PS4, XB1Read full review - Trackmania Turbo's arcade action is slick, fast and thoroughly enjoyable. It offers a ton of content to keep you busy, and challenging the leaderboards is a highly addictive experience. The action can become somewhat repetitive during extended play sessions, but in short bursts, this game is a huge amount of fun.
Jaz Rignall · Mar 24, 2016 Reviewed on PS4 - TrackMania Turbo is a game that will make you want to bash your head against a wall- and you will love it for that.
Shubhankar Parijat · Mar 24, 2016 Reviewed on PS4Read full review - TrackMania Turbo delivers a racing game with beautiful design, graphics, and controls. For those who love time trials and a challenge, you’ll have a hard time putting TrackMania Turbo down as it offers the drive/wreck/repeat pacing that you crave. However, by limiting the competition solely to ghosts—no matter who you’re playing against, wherever in the world—it gets harder and harder to be excited for each subsequent race knowing there’s little difference between racing a human or the AI.
