  • Titanfall 2 is the complete shooter package in a way that Titanfall wasn’t back in 2014. The fantastic campaign now complements the comprehensive multiplayer package. Factor in the free post launch support and it’s difficult to argue that Titanfall 2 is the unsung hero of the holiday rush.

Titanfall 2 is the product of a developer that took to heart all the criticism that was thrown at the original. Even though the single player campaign treads familiar ground and falters in some areas, it’s a solid effort with some great moments that I’m sure to remember.

  • Titanfall 2 is one of the most joyful gaming experiences of the year. There are lots of games with heart and excitement, but Titanfall 2 manages to combine almost everything that was a strength for the first entry and build on it with loads more personality.

  • An explosively amazing campaign, the same solid multiplayer with new modes and mechanics, lots of customization and excellent performance - Titanfall 2 is a keeper.

  • In the end, I do hope that Titanfall 2 finds success, as it has definitely earned its keep. The game is a newcomer in a sea of remasters, a sharp and satisfying FPS that continues 2016’s trend of amazing single player campaigns without skimping on the deathmatch. It’s a sci-fi game that’s not afraid to go for a fun tone and still brings the serious character moments where it counts.

  • The campaign’s story may suffer from frequent moments of banality, but its inventive gameplay, entertaining baddies, and glossy pacing make for an unexpectedly catchy adventure. Meanwhile, the multiplayer is swift and chaotic in all the right ways, adding to the impressive crop of multiplayer shooters EA’s been able to cultivate this past year.

  • To be perfectly candid, I didn’t expect to be floored by Titanfall 2. Given publisher EA’s relative radio silence on this title and my personal lack of enthusiasm for the original game, I went into this titanic sequel hoping for the best but honestly expecting more of the same. That said, I can’t think of the last time I was so eager to eat some crow with a side of humble pie, because Titanfall 2 is a shooter that defies all expectations.

  • It’s hard to sulk about the lack of A.I. grunts in most of the multiplayer matches when you’re unloading a red hot chest laser into a mech that is hovering 50 feet above ground pelting you with missiles. There isn’t a shooter on the market that can compare with Titanfall 2 when it comes to imagination, inventiveness, and flat-out spectacle.

  • The newest iteration in Titanfall 2 has clearly demonstrated that the team at Respawn was not ready to give up on an awesome concept. With just the addition of a well-designed campaign and more titan chassis for multiplayer Titanfall 2 would have been a decent game, but because of the focus on customization and a variety of other details this game is obviously a labor of love.
