Gh0Stcrawl3R · Oct 15, 2024 Reviewed on PCRead full review - You may not come to Throne and Liberty with high expectations, if only as many free-to-play MMOs on Xbox have been underwhelming. But Throne and Liberty feels different, thanks to its impressive visuals and wealth of content. The PVP focus and reliance on a large player base might not appeal to everyone, but it’s a strong start, and it’ll be interesting to see how the game evolves going forward.
Gareth Brierley · Oct 14, 2024 Reviewed on Series X|SRead full review - Throne and Liberty is an ongoing game, so the story could become more fleshed out, the mechanics you use to interact with the world could become more nuanced, and the technical issues could be fixed. But as it all stands now, it's just an okay way to dip your toe into a relatively console-friendly MMORPG that doesn't demand endless amounts of your time for you to enjoy — although there are better games to play with your precious hours. If you're looking for something deeper than that, though, you won't find it here.
Issy van der Velde · Oct 10, 2024 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Throne and Liberty is at its core an old-school player-versus-player MMO with a defined focus on world and large-scale group combat. While graphically stunning, an average combat system and a potentially divisive monetization model hold back this otherwise extremely competent MMORPG.
Apesar disso, no geral, a NCSoft e a Amazon acertaram. Agora, as empresas precisam cuidar bem da comunidade que já se forma, para mantê-los ativos e engajados no gameplay.
Jean Azevedo · Oct 08, 2024 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Throne & Liberty was a game I wanted to love. It was something I had anticipated for roughly a decade with the hope in my heart that it would be good. I see the skeleton of something I adored — the massive PvP battles, the caution that came with entering places like the Ants Nest to get rare jewelry and a social component that I honestly sorely miss. But the poor localization, an uninteresting story, and the reliance on PvP for progression makes the game a hard recommendation. It’s a shame, because there is a glimmer of something great there, but Throne & Liberty just isn’t that.
Kazuma Hashimoto · Oct 07, 2024 Reviewed on PCRead full review - Throne and Liberty from developer NCSOFT and publisher Amazon Games is starting on the right note. The game offers a bevy of content, a fun and complicated backend, and enough motivation to keep exploring and grinding its lands. It does need better direction and connection with quests, as well as balanced PvP. As it stands, the start is good, and the future looks like it could be better.
Nathaniel Stevens · Oct 06, 2024 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - Overall, though, considering the non-existent price of admission and the current content offering being as expansive as it is, there’s no harm in checking out what is, at the very least, a well-made, feature-complete MMORPG that could potentially become something special with the right treatment.
Shane Boyle · Oct 06, 2024 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - There's no denying that Throne and Liberty is a visual treat and certainly one of the best looking MMORPGs to come along in some time. Furthermore, though its massive world event battles impress, as does its innovative take on shapeshifting traversal, Throne and Liberty's flair-free combat, banal quest design and cluttered UI all weigh down a genre effort that deserves better.
John-Paul Jones · Oct 03, 2024 Reviewed on PS5Read full review - I really enjoy Throne and Liberty’s colorful world, detailed environments, and engaging combat. Though the story is pretty uninspired, the game is technically polished and that alone is worthy of praise. But as a primarily solo player, the game isn’t for me in the long run. That’s not really a criticism, because being built for groups isn’t a bug, it’s a feature. That was true back at the dawn of MMORPGs and sometimes it’s still true. I think Throne and Liberty has a lot of promise to succeed at launch and grow beyond it.
