    Bethesda è chiaramente partita dal lavoro di sviluppo e successivo affinamento di Fallout Shelter per costruire The Elder Scrolls: Castles, visto che la struttura è molto vicina al titolo precedente, soprattutto per quanto riguarda la costruzione del castello, ma questo gioco ha comunque una sua spiccata identità. Riesce a trovare un ottimo compromesso tra approccio intuitivo nella costruzione ed espansione di base e complessità strategica negli aspetti più capillari della gestione del regno. Allo stesso modo, nonostante il tono generalmente leggero, risulta comunque rispettoso della tradizione di The Elder Scrolls, e ha anche un sistema di micro-transazioni assolutamente non invasivo. In definitiva, risulta essere un titolo piacevole anche per un pubblico ampio, che non punta a una grande complessità o profondità ma riesce anche a non annacquarsi troppo.
