- And that's what Tempo is: pointless. It aspires only for pointlessness and reaches those shallow goals. ...Even if you're not good at first-person shooters, you have to learn somehow! Please, do something besides play Tempo! Again, not because Tempo as a product is bad, but it's a stupid game that should not exist.
Carter Dotson · Feb 24, 2015 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - If you are from the days of Mad Dog Mcree, Time Crisis or even Virtual Cop, I highly suggest you check out this stellar attempt at bringing accessible blockbuster action to the masses. Although at times it could feel repetitive, you’ll enjoy the game much more in shorter bursts of play.
Luke Sanders · Feb 21, 2015 Reviewed on iOS - Tempo is slick, cool, and stylistically cinematic, but ultimately thats's also its downfall as players will undoubtedly tire of playing such a small role - both tactically and actively. It's a game that shows off the graphical capabilities of iOS gaming, but not the depth of gameplay that should reside behind pretty visuals.
Lee Hamlet · Feb 18, 2015 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Altogether, Tempo is a well-designed game that presents players with an experience that demands precision. Because of its demands, Tempo isn’t a game that I can recommend to everyone, but if you enjoy quick-time events and action games that involve more watching than playing, then Tempo is the game for you.
Tom Christiansen · Feb 16, 2015 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - With a little more variety, Tempo would have been a must-have title, but it is sadly let down by its repetitive nature. It can be excruciatingly irritating at times when you just can’t get the timing on a particular shot right and can’t complete a level in time, but you know that success is always just a matter of seconds away, and it is your fault that you failed, not Tempo’s. Challenging yourself to get better times, and in turn challenging your friends, could become very addictive.
Robin Parker · Feb 28, 2015 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - And it looks wonderful. The animations are pitch-perfect, the gunshots and explosions are precise, and the UI looks like it's been lifted from a futuristic Tom Clancy adaptation. It might not be a pure-bred shooter, or really a shooter at all, but Tempo has enough going for it that it's worth more than a second look.
