- Right now, Minecraft - Pocket Edition is just a pretty block-building game. It's getting better, and I'm really rooting for it to, but it doesn't give me any sense of adventure. Survivalcraft does, and it does it in impressive fashion for a mobile device. For that reason and the reasons listed above, it's the mobile Minecraft that I'm sticking with.
Jared Nelson · May 21, 2013 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - Survivalcraft exchanges Minecraft’s fantasy setting for something a little more stark. The core concept is solid, though it may be more suited for Minecraft veterans. Either way, it’s not the Creepers you should fear: It’s the wolves howling in the darkness.
Nadia Oxford · May 10, 2013 Reviewed on iOS - There are no doubt people out there who have been playing Minecraft for a very long time now, and are looking for their next Minecraft-like fix. To them I say: Do not bother with Survivalcraft. It’s an insult to the original creator, and does not add one iota of additional, interesting content over its “inspiration.”
Mike Rose · May 08, 2013 Reviewed on iOSRead full review - SurvivalCraft is not a stand-in, but rather more like a companion piece, to it's original inspiration. It’s missing a fair share of options and features when compared to Minecraft itself, but makes up for that by including a few things that haven’t made the mobile cut from Mojang yet. It’s kind of the yang to Minecraft’s yin.
