  With its sharp and colorful visuals and classic gameplay sensibilities, Super Phantom Cat is a pretty perfect hybrid of the new and old. That doesn’t mean the game itself is perfect, though, as there were moments when I wished the developers had been as creative with the platforming genre as they’d been with the art.

  The best part about this app is that the controls actually add to the game. You have to learn them first, and the reason they are difficult is because they are so quick. However, after a few rounds where you fail, you will be able to work them to your advantage. The soundtrack is also quite good and adds to the overall retro feel of the game. The graphics do eventually hurt your eyes, which impacts your ability to play this game for an extended period of time. It is best played in natural daylight.

  Super Phantom Cat ci riporta all'epoca in cui fiorivano i cloni di Super Mario, specialmente su quelle piattaforme dove l'idraulico Nintendo non poteva comparire, e ci ricorda come la semplice attinenza al canone mariesco possa bastare, spesso, per fare un gioco piacevole.
